Remarks

College management was okay okay kinds because it was a govt college but more or less it was on a good side only never felt anything going wrong in the college management played an important rule and our department was the best HOD was amazing i don't have words to express.

Entrance Preview

AIEEE rank around 3Lakhs same city so i chose this college most reputed in punjab always wanted to become an electrical engineer.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The year i joined the entire course got changed and the syllabus was a lot new than earlier years i feel lucky to have joined in that year. It included great new more informative courses than earlier years the course include few software courses which are need of the hour.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements were great almost all students got the job the pay scale is less but atleast alot of them got the jobs' i wont say they got the dream jobs but the companies associated are great, big names so it will definitely add up to there benefits and experience.

College Events

4

College use to have a lot of events like sports day and annual function convocation was amazing there were a lot of events regarding the basic information a lot of seminars regarding the latest technology and few movie promotion events made it great to attend college everyday.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I dont know whats expensive and feasible but our college had the least legal fee structure than other college no extra fees or charges were there. they use to follow the all the basic guidelines and even after the college got autonomous the fee structure remained the same.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have no knowledge about it scholarships were there i never inquired about it they use to give 200Rs for the college exam topper for the college exams.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life was amazing gender ratio is 70:30 male:female as same as other colleges alot of backward class students were there but they were good people there use to events every other day after the college where they use to give alot of prizes i have attended and organized alot of college events and they were amazing.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I never stayed in hostel or PG, but the hostel fees was very less they are in bad shape except the new building but moreover the food use to be moderate and not to good PG are available very near and they were cheap too according to what i have heard the hostel timings were fine and strictness was less.

Alumni/Alumna

Never got a chance to meet seniors as i never lived in the hostel but the interaction was great there was nothing like raging in this college the seniors were good never asked for any help though.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is same for all punjab colleges 3 exams before the final exams the date sheets use to be fine and exams use to be very tough than other colleges the tough exams really encourage you to study more. Sometimes we use to complain regarding the out of syllabus questions.

Admission

There were 3 rounds of admission process where i dint get the seat and then applied for open admission after the filling of seats through 3 rounds. I got the admission based on my rank and availability of seat in the above said course the admission process was not that bad.

Faculty

4

The teachers are legend all have atleast 20yrs of experience, teachers are alot better than other colleges, M.Tech is must for teachers which shows its class almost all teacher were Ph.D so that gives an added advantage of knowledge and experience all teachers are very helpful and did there best.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
