SMVDU MBA Review

I had applied for the central university of Kashmir but due to the increasing rise of covid-19 cases, my parents didn't allow me to get admission there. Didn't avail any quota to take admission here. For taking admission in SMVDU, one must need to have 50% minimum marks in his/her graduation and should appear in either CAT/MAT and you can apply for the application form from the official site of SMVDU and once your name get shortlisted you'll get a call or offer letter by the university end.

I opted for this course because MBA is the only course that develops a person's personality and provides a wide range of career opportunities in the corporate sector. There are 8 teachers over 85 students in the batch. The faculty here is well qualified and highly professional and holds various degrees from the top institutes of India. The term exams conduct timely here and is easy to pass if your concepts are well-cleared.

SMVDU provides internships to the students in the well known companies like Hdfc, ICICI, Sriram etc. with the good amount of stipend lies between 6000-10000. Due to covid-19 not so many companies visit the campus for providing internship but still college manage to arrange good internship for us.

After the completion of 2nd-semester exams, students become eligible for the campus placements. MNC companies like ICICI, Hdfc, Prescon, Sriram, Axis visit the campus for providing jobs with the minimum salary offer of 5lakh to 8 lakh. Approximately 60% of students gets placement from the campus placements.

The fees hike policy in SMVDU is bit higher than the other institutes in Jammu & Kashmir. Only the students who got more than 80 percentile in CAT/MAT get the scholarship offer availed by the university. And the university also provides the ease of paying the fees on installments.

TATVA is the annual management fest conducted by the university where the students get a chance to display their talent, but due to covid-19 restrictions, this fest didn't take place in the university. Various sports activities and extracurricular activities were conducted in the university but due to covid-19, all these activities are suspended for now. VIKALP is a social group run by students.
