DTU- From Online to Offline, Everything you get!

If you want to get admission in DTU, you have to give JEE Mains and clear the cutoff of this college. I got a rank of 23362 in JEE Mains and I had EWS Quota (EWS Quota is made at your concered SDM office) with myself. Since I had completed my 12th in Delhi so I had a Delhi Quota as well. So there are 2 counselling authority, one is JAC Delhi and other is JoSAA. In JoSAA, I cannot avail my Delhi quota in all colleges because Delhi Quota can be availed in only Delhi Colleges like DTU, NSIT, IIIT Delhi,etc, so I registered only in JAC Delhi. JAC Delhi offers admission to DTU,IGDTUW,NSIT and IIIT Delhi only. After registering at any counselling authority (in my case it was JAC Delhi) I had to provide the priority list online. The priority list includes college name and branch name which you want to give high priority.And in subsequent rounds of counselling session, your branch will get upgraded. After availing both Delhi Quota and EWS Quota, I bagged B.Tech in Computer engineering at DTU.

I choose the Computer Engineering at DTU. If you compare curriculum with IIIT Delhi or IIIT Hyderabad then you'll definately get disappointed. Curriculum at DTU is some-what old fashioned. Moreover, faculties at DTU are highly qualified and some of them are post graduates from IITs and other prestige colleges. In first year, each class has 75 students. In each semester there is continuous evaluation which consists of 3 class tests (Top 2 will be evaluated) , 2 surprise Tests (best of 2 will be evaluated) and 1 MTE project which you have make in pair or lone wolf. The tests are of moderate level.

There are alot of internship opportunities available in DTU. Students apply for internship on on-campus and off-campus both. Some students apply for SDE intern whereas some apply for research intern at DRDO to name a few. Some Technical position offered by product based companies are Software Development Engineer (SDE), Mobile Engineer, Data Analyst, Research Assistant, etc

From the starting of 4th year(7th semester) comapnies start coming into the college for placements. There are more than 1500 offers offered to students. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Paytm, Goldman Sachs, etc come to our college. Highest CTC offerd was 1.27 Cr by Ola to a Computer Engineering Student. In tech branches more than 85% students get placed. I plan after this B.Tech is to start my own Startup. I don't want to work for any comapny.

Fees of different year is as follow 1st year - 1,90,000 2nd year- 206000 3rd year- 219000 4th year- 2,36000 There is financial assistance available for students which is distributed on the basis of family income. One can avail it on E-distruct Delhi Portal. DTU provides on-campus scholarship and placements to its B.Tech students. Companies like Goldman Sacks, Google, Adobe, Microsoft, Amazon, Paytm,etc comes to offer. The average CTC for B.Tech students of DTU is 12 LPA.

Fests like Yuvaan (literary Fest), Engifest (Cultural Fest), Sports Fest, etc gets organised in the month of January and February. DTU has a very huge library fully air-conditioned where students can issue books. There are a lot of societies ranging from FinTech, Sports, Dance, Music, Theatre, Robotics, automobile, Artificial Intelligence, and alot more. One of our Robotics Society went to china for international competition and bagged 2nd Position. There is indoor Badminton Court, Pool, Table Tennis,etc.
