BITSAT, 293 Always had a interest in Chemical Engineering. BITS Pilani, Hyderabad campus was a love at first sight. The most awesome environment, the helpful people around and the prestige to be called a BITSIAN is what made me fall deeply in love.

Yesh there is a mandatory course known as practice school. Its divided into two. Practice school 1(PS1) and Practice school 2 (PS2). PS1 is of months after our second year during our summer vacation. I did it at Grasim Industries Nagda. No stipend for PS1, PS 2 is of 6 months with an approx stipend of 20k depending on the company.

Almost 100 percent placements. details cant be shared as this is a confidential to the college. Mainly IT sector companies. Analytics companies also come as well as an average amount of core companies. Avg salary is around 6 lakhs. All the famous IT companies like Microsoft, DirectI, Nutanix, etc do come.

Three fests-Arena(sports fest) ATMOS (technical and management fest) and pearl(cultural fest). All the three are quiet famous. Arena has footfal of over 100 colleges all over India. similar case for ATMOS. Pearl has already had famous singers like Vishal Shekhar, Farahn Akhtar. So you can just imagine the level of our fest. all the festival are celebrated with great pomp.

Fee structure is around 1,50,000 per semester. It increases by fifteen percent per semester. It includes hostel, mess tuition and any other smaller charges like student welfare, discipline charge, etc. To avail Gym facilities it is an additional of rupees seven hundred and fifty per semester.

There is merit cum need scholarship as well as merit scholarship. Loans are available from State bank of India. easily available.

Our batch ratio was 5:1 boys to girls. we also have NRI students. There are basketball, voleyball, hockey, football, kabadi, throwball ,tennis, badminton, squash courts.

Labs are compulsory but as attendance for classes is not compulsory its rather easy and chilled. Exams are divided into test 1 test 2 and comprehensive exam. There are some surprise tests which are rather easy and assignments are also quiet easy. Comprehensive exams are easier than test 1 and 2 and there are also open book exams.

Basic forms like 12th and 10th class mark sheet. The whole process is hell in B block. There are a lot of students to help you out. I have worked as a volunteer once. It takes on July 30th end. The BITSAT score you get immediately gives a preemptive idea of whether you will get it or not.

Faculty is highly qualified , almost all are PhDs. Or continuing on there PhD. Not specifying a particular faculty but they are really very helpful during projects under any faculty and are ready to clarify any types of doubts other than the courses.
