Remarks
Honestly, I applied to JSS college, AKGEC And KIET. However, I dropped JSS as its campus structure and annual fests are not at par with the other two. In AKGEC, they literally hired retired military personnel which makes it a very hard and fast-on-rules college. I availed OBC NC quota, through which I got a fee waiver seat at a rank of around 9000 in UPSEE. As such you will get an electrical & electronics branch in a range of rank1-30000 (depending on obvious factors). College administration is very supportive during the admission process. The main pointers to choose KIET are its faculty which are least from NIT's, some from IIT's and most are Ph.D.'s, its annual fest which is one of the best in NCR region (believe me), its cafeteria which provides good hygienic food at student-friendly prices and a nice place (not boasting, but its best amongst all AKTU colleges). Exams are held in the same frequency as in any other college (three-unit test, one pre-semester, and external university examinations).
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose EEE as it simply opens up a vast area to explore and chose for expertise. Ranging from PSU's to Business to Services in any sector to pursuing further studies in Computing allied courses. The faculty here is knowledgeable and very supportive (some will always remain in touch),(though they don't invite for informal dinners which are fine). Professors have specialized degrees in their respective subjects at least from good NIT's. Faculty here in core branches pushes for GATE, ESE, and Higher education a lot, which is good. All Classrooms have Air Conditioners and Smart Boards installed (infrastructure is highly maintained). Mostly Exams are held in a similar fashion amongst all years. 3 unit tests with a gap of around 5-6 weeks and one pre-semester exam. for all exams, an ample amount of time and material is given, so moderately easy to score high. A bit of bonding and buttering might fetch a flexible hand of teachers in marks but they won't discriminate if you have good knowledge.
Internships Opportunities
They help in every way possible to give internship opportunities. some examples are professors personally recommend in companies students for internship and they even provide international paid internships at subsidized prices.
Placement Experience
In one line I can say with 100 percent security, If you want placement they will ensure to provide you, and it's easy as they train way before companies come. I say just simply go to their sites for the latest placement record, my batch highest was 27LPA(2020 batch), in 2021( I guess it's 37 or 41 LPA). This is surely the part you don't need to worry about. just focus from 3rd year onwards on this.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for all years will be disclosed at the very start of your course of all 4 years and won't be changed or hiked for your session batch. Banks will provide loans. College provides Scholarships for every student who scores above 75 percent (500+200*(every unit percent above 75)) and the respective yearly branch topper will get 12000 and the yearly branch 2nd topper will get 6000. You can also opt to pay fees in installments as per your need and convenience(need to sign of director on show cause application, which is an easy process). UP Govt. Scholarship Comes of almost all students whose papers are "fulfilled"). It comes according to category(SC, ST, OBC) and according to annual income (must be less than 2 lakhs yearly). There is a separate social welfare department/office which helps/consults in all these matters free. The college also gives flexibility to students to pay a half-year fees and the other half after scholarship arrival(if the scholarship didn't come then you need to pay from your pocket).
Campus Life
All I can say in one word about various fests is "exquisite". Simply visit this site and you will see. Our annual cultural fest is best in NCR(Can ask any student of jss, akgec, abesit, abesit, rkgit , etc). kiet.edu /happenings/news. Various clubs are there ranging from technical to debate to quizzing to literary to innovation to sports to dance to music to business to cultural to manufacturing. (example- college site and database is handled by student clubs only so live project flexibility), the solar club is also there along with that they have 3-d printer. Classrooms are well equipped with smart boards and speakers and AC. In Sports, Apart from the swimming pool, they have had literally every sports infrastructure and equipment free of cost. Also had a well-equiped gym, though that can only be accessible for hostellers from 2nd year onwards. Every club is well funded by the college administration as per needs. These clubs you will always remember.
Hostel Facilities
As per my Fellow Kota returnees, FOOD IS the best you can get in hostels. Kiet has a different hostel for every year's students. All hostels are good and the fee is according to the type of room you want. First-year students need to get back by 6 pm and all year girls to get back by 7 pm if not going by permission. other than this no restriction is there. Every year there will be a gamer group, padaku group, sports group, dance/singer/music group, DSLR group, social media group, fitness enthusiast group, and you can join and leave any group anytime as per need. There are two canteens in college and one cafeteria, around 5-6 pm, students can be found playing cricket, CS go, TT, pubg, GYms, clubs, pool, roaming around, etc. Around 10 pm after dinner students used to go on for a walk or temple or birthday party celebs. All in all, you won't miss anything.
