Remarks

After I completed my 12th standard there were different universities were I applied with Amity Kolkata being my top choice due to the quality of education that is provided followed by job opportunities. I had to present my 10th and 12th standard marks with a round of interview that was held for my interview.

Course Curriculum Overview

BBA is a three year course with multiple study materials are provided by the college with case studies, journals, presentations being some them. There were internal exams and class tests that were held which are really very crucial for the end term exams. The teachers are of great help with immense support given at all the steps.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 1900000 per year

Placement Experience

Amity is well known for its placement drives with the average salary obtained is around 4 lakh with the highest package obtained was 28 lakh by Amazon. there are companies like Byjus, Federal bank, IXIA, ITC, Amazon and many more which offer multiple placement offers to the students. Students of BBA can avail of different internship opportunities after the completion of 2nd semester with getting good amount of stipend.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is to be paid on semester basis with the structure of the fee is reasonable and not much high than other schools. There are different scholarships awarded to the students on the basis of merit and the annual income of the parents. There are education loans that can be taken by leading banks in which college provides extreme help.

Campus Life

Enriching campus life is provided and it something to look forward to with Sangathan being the annual sports event that is held every year in the campus with different cultural events also taking place. There are different clubs like fashion club, music club, book club, marketing club, finance club and many more which are run by the student council.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel charges the fee on a yearly basis with an amount of 10,000 is charged which is refundable after the completion of the stay. The hostel has all the facilities like Wifi, electricity, water supply, television and all the amenities with the food provided in the college is of top level with options of both veg and non veg food available.

The everyday journey

Likes

I liked the campus . Their people and faculties are too great , they are also helpfull
The other thing i liked here is the play ground where students play with full of their energy and many game events are organised ocationally
The other thing i liked is the library where everyone use to study silently with poking others

Dislikes

Bad benches , like benches are too small to be fitted in our class I
In our department ac doesn’t work properly

Nothing specific just the campus attracted me Curriculum is preparing me for the real world approach and its doing good enough the academic pursuits is good Teachers should teach in a good way so that every student should understand Frequently the timing of exam is 3 hrs but sometimes it takes 1 hrs

The Techno Experience

Likes

Practical Exposure with hands on training is always good for personal growth
The laboratories were well equipped with state of the art instruments
Entrepreneurship was encouraged and it really helped us with designing future start ups.

Dislikes

Lack of scholarships for the needy is one thing that needed to be worked on.
There was a distinct lack of encouragement to pursue extracurricular activity.
Sometimes it felt like it would have helped if we had a mental health counsellor onboard with the department.

Placement Experience:

Techno India University has a strong campus placement. Several students got jobs during the last semester, and I am one of them. Some others choose to wait for better opportunities. Some joined good startups. The package was nominal as we were all freshers. After getting my degree, I planned to pursue corporate experience and then join a lab for my PhD.

Likes

Faculties are helpful and kind and the classroom environment is healthy
Classroom, labs and libraries have proper infrastructure
Certificates are provided for participating in conferences or extracurricular activities

Placement Experience:

Placement is provided in final year . Average package offered is 3 to 4 lpa . Paid internship is provided in 3rd year and the placement percentage is more or less ok. After complication i will either pursue Msc or look for a job.

Likes

They provide you with various oppertunities like exposure visits, seminar , worshops, etc.

Dislikes

Labs are not well maintained the machines are very slow

In case of my couse everything is coverd but it would have been much better of they focus on practicals more rather than theory. If they make us aware of all the new technologies that are used in the industry.

Study pressure is not that much it will be sufficient to stu61 months before final exam
No strict college there is not compulsory to wear college uniform
Faculty are good they are supportive helpful

Dislikes

College campus is small infrastructure is not good
Placement and internship opportunities is very less
Number of students in each batch is more

Curricullum is quite ok crowd of students are more coding culture should be introduced need of improvement of infrastructure as well in my batch 2023 to 2027 there is total 3 exam in each semester including end sem and 2 test

Likes

Faculty is really good and helping they do help !
Labs are taken on time and is made clear to us very well
Teacher are very good and friendly for us

Dislikes

I disliked the fact that the rooms get too hot during sumer
There should have been one ac that could have turned on in classes during hot , except smart class room and auditorium
Nothing as much , some little stuffs that are everywhere nowadays in college

Exams are generally spaced well throughout the smemstwr allowing adequate time for preperation , how ever the frequenxy can sometimes be overwhelming particulary during peak study periods , but the diffulty level isnt that concerning and they are easy

Placement Experience:

The University Provides Placements options for the students from the 3rd Semester onwards. For the Department of Geography Companies like - GeoDesign and Research PVT. Limited, Wipro, Acadecraft Pvt limited, Cactus etc. are there as recruiters with an average package of 3 LPA. University takes a target to 100 % placement among then almost 60% are placed and rest of the students mainly go to the research field.

Placement Experience:

Since the syllabus is quite up to date, students learn a lot and are way ahead of their age group students. Most of the students qualify for placements with attractive packages. The university also encourages internships that carry credits in their academic report.

I got accepted to all private colleges which had psychology but I chose amity because they give you the freedom and to some people it might feel that amity is a fashion show but no, our hoi is very strict about it The campus is very spacious but climbing so many stairs without lift is VERY HARD. if only they could fix that I think everything would have been fine. Amity University, Kolkata from a btech biotechnology

I didn't apply for any other colleges though I thought of Adamas and Heritage. But I got to know since the last few years only marketing placements are being provided by the other colleges which I wouldn't prefer in future being a btech biotechnology student. Amity has better opportunities and placements which I heard from my friends who were already studying. I was a dropper student and I didn't want to take one year of risk so J got into this college for partial drop so that even If I don't get , I would still have a good opportunity .
