Remarks

I did not apply to any other college except Acharya Narendra Dev College. I didn't avail any quota to get admitted. The Delhi University announced cutoffs for all of its colleges and my board percentage was enough to make me eligible for admission to the college. There was no counselling day conducted but an online orientation was conducted.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose this course because my goal is the become an auditor and this course will lead me to the path of becoming one. The faculty to student ratio is around 1:18 which allows professors to give personal attention to each and every student. The faculty is highly qualified and has all the professional degrees needed to teach us. Term exams are conducted twice a year and they are quite easy to pass.

Fees and Financial Aid

There have been no fees hikes in the college in the last few years. The cost to study at Delhi University is very low (8000 per year) which is very cheap according to me. There are no scholarships or financial assistance that is provided by the college which I think is justified because the fees are already very low.

Campus Life

4.5

Corpomaze is the annual fest of the college and it is conducted in the month of February every year. All sorts of books are available in the library for the students and a 24/7 wifi connection is also available. Classrooms and spacious and fully digitalised which helps in concentration. Coaches are present for sports like cricket football and badminton and students play at different levels as well. Student run societies are also present on the campus for dance theatre and music.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course provides a comprehensive image of finance and management, though after NEP, the curriculum seems a little irrelevent. The exams are conducted twice in a year, 2 sems per year, they conduct mid sem exams as well.

Placement Experience:

Students of 3rd year are eligible for the same. Mckinsey, BCG, Bain, Blackrock, Meesho etc being the most prestigious recruiters. Highest package varies, but it went around 36 L last year. Avg being around 8 L. I would say most students who apply for placements get placed, however only a few get placed in the top companies. I personally wish to pursue an MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Although, people say that B.Com doesn't have a great scope to it, I feel like there are many life lessons that we are taught during our college years. Since the introduction of NEP 2020, there has been a rather great emphasis on practical learning. In our college, we are asked for presentations and group projects to promote learning and communication. The presence of SEC and VAC also helps you develop your soft skills, groom your personality and live a happy and healthy life. Exams are help at the end of every semester. There are a few guides and PYQs with the help of which a student can prepare for these exams. They are relatively easy in my opinion and do not require extreme efforts. Overall, it's a great experience and a great opportunity to learn so many things.

In the context of a fictional scenario, the placement scenario would depend on the specific college within Delhi University. Some colleges have robust placement cells that facilitate campus placements with various companies. The placement scenario can vary, and it's advisable to check with the specific college for accurate and up-to-date information.
