Course Curriculum Overview
Life science includes zoology botany and chemistry considering this combo I think the study material is quite okay in terms of topics chemistry connects school teaching with one step ahead learning . Zoology provides new insights on various topics . Botany covers deeper understanding of syllabus . So overall it's good . Hands on lab work meets the demand of the subject . Also the topics taught match with the type of questions asked in exam. Difficulty level i would say it's moderate for botany and zoology but for chemistry is quite tough. Time management is a much needed skill for examination purpose. For course curriculum i would say more focus on current situation should be laid rather than history .
Internships Opportunities
I have still not applied for any internship but from what I have heard from my seniors the internships offered here are genuine and nice . They provide good experience to new first time interns and also many internships are seasonal like summer internships which is good . Paid internships are less as compared to normal ones .
Fees and Financial Aid
For first semester the fees I paid was around 17005 indian rupees . I think this remains constant with little change through all semesters. Overall it's affordable. Fees varies on course selection. If you select a particular course which requires more tools or labs then fees will be accordingly higher. Exam fees is not included in 17005 . For exam fees extra 1900 indian rupees are to be paid. Per month scholarships are released which help various section of students like girl students .
Campus Life
Campus Life here is one of best experience I have had . Sometimes the college is quite and slow peaceful soothing the minds whereas something is flooded with people so diverse it allows great exposure . Societies of this college are amazing my fav part of this college are it's societies and fests . Fest volunteering allowed you to learn so much about managing, marketing, calling for set up and so much more . Societies of this college are varied and offer great exposure to students to choose what type of work they want to do . There are students run societies like enactus and NSS debate society and women's empowerment society .
Admission
I wanted a co educational college only , hence it was an good option . My first choice of college was hindu college considering its location and reputation but choosing this college over hindu college was not that bad of a choice . This college is basically more of a science college which provides just right place for me to study and the labs are top class. NIRF ranking is quite high . People here are nice and helpful.
Faculty
Faculty is great. Highly skilled teachers. Always focus on one on one interaction with students . Explain topics in great details . You can easily ask you doubts and the teachers would be ready to answer. They suggest good quality books for studying and also provide relatable study materials. Assistant teachers are also very helpful. 2-3 teachers per 60 students class . Teachers are very approachable. Chemistry teacher Ms seema gupta was very friendly and helpful . Botany teacher anita Narang helped me through my studies a lot. exams happen per semester course curriculum is very relatable. provide great testing skills .
Night Life
Surroundings include all types of cafes and dining places which serve great quality food so i personally like visiting nearby market area and shopping . Weekly markets are also present on Wednesdays. They offer good items at affordable prices . Various hangout spots which have direct metro access are also available nearby. Places to visit mainly include- Kalkaji mandir, nehru place, Lotus temple and so many old and new parks for peaceful time.
