Entrance Preview

The admission only requires JEE MAINS. If you are general you really have to score very good to get a seat, but if you belong to OBC you have to score good, but if you are SC/ST you don't have to worry about any marks just enjoy your +2. And I am OBC so I enjoyed limited and had to study some, as I was interested in computes and software ,but I got 109 marks out of 360 which is not a good one so I opt for maths and computing.

Internships Opportunities

Yes the college provides the internships, it is provided in the third year and is about 3 months (approx).

Placement Experience

5

Many of the leading companies like google and amazon come to the campus the maximum package was 1.27 crore by google . This year one senior of MCE got 30 lakh from amazon. There are a bunch of guys who got amazing packages from various leading companies, but there is one thing in common to these great package holders that all were awesome in coding.

College Events

4.5

The biggest fest in our college is the ENGIFEST . This is the cultural fest of our college the scale of the festival can be estimated by the fact that many Bollywood singers and actors have come in our fest. There is a list of events in the fest , it takes more than a month to get ready for the ANGIFEST.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is for 2k16 batch 126000 for the first year,138000 for the second year, 145000 for the third year and 165000 for the fourth year. For a lower middle class family this is a big amount, but there are some aids available for the economically weaker section.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes there are scholarships available at DTU. There is a scholarship for the fee concession which is available for the economically backward section whose annual income is less than 4.5 lacs per annum. They refund some percentage of your fee 30-50%. The college also avails a loan scheme for the students in which the central govt. pays some interest of the student if the student is economically weak.

Exam Structure

There are mid-semester and end-semester and the assignments . In the starting of the semester there is chill, after some days teachers start giving the assignments ,and after that comes the mid semester ,after the mid semester comes the viva and practical, after the practical comes the end semester.

Admission

When I was in +1, I was fascinated by software as I was a student of C++ and so I wanted to do engineering, so I filled the JEE form in December. It was JEE exam on 4 April 2106, while coming out of the examination centre many students were too confident about good result but I was not. Finally the day of result came on 20 May and I got 109 marks.

Faculty

4.5

The faculties at DTU are very qualified. Majority of them are doctorate and are passionate about their course . They try to give the most practical knowledge about the course they are not only focused on the books the allow and help the students to think open mindedly and reach to some great results.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
