Remarks
Earlier KIET used to take admissions through UPTU Exam but now it takes admission through the JEE Mains Rank. For admission in the Computer Science branch, one has to achieve a good rank. You have to go to the college physically on the counseling date with the documents (original mark sheet of 12 and 10th class, address proof, demand draft of fees, and domicile certificate). It is the best college in Delhi NCR and provides a lot of opportunities to its students. It provides excellent placements.
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty of the college is very good and experienced. Most of the faculty are Ph.D. holders and some of them are pursuing their Ph.D. KIET believes in practical-based learning, it has excellent labs with well-equipped instruments and high-end computer systems. There are 3 internal exams in the whole semester namely CT1, CT2, and PUE ( Pre University Examination), one can easily secure good marks if one attends the classes regularly and sincerely.
Internships Opportunities
The college has its own Internship and Placement Cell which provides a great opportunity for students to get Internships. Doing an internship is mandatory in the 6th semester. During the internship, students are allotted the projects and the trainer. After completion of the internship, the projects are evaluated and marks are given.
Placement Experience
In the 6th semester, placement will start and by the end of the 7th semester, all the students get placed. The average placement is around 5lpa. Companies that visit campus are Cognizant, Accenture, Capgemini, Hashedin, Healthkart, Infogain, etc. The highest package offered was by Play simple which was 20lpa. KIET provides 100% placement to the Computer Science and IT branch students.
Fees and Financial Aid
In the first year, fees will be around 1.50 lakhs which will include tuition fees, security fees, examination fees, and extracurricular fees. THen for the next 3 years, the fees will get less by 25,000 because the security and exam fees are 1-time payments only. If you opt for a hostel then for a single-seater it will cost you 98,000, for double 93,000, and for triple 89,000. The actual prices may differ these are just approx estimated.
Campus Life
The annual fest i.e. EPOQUE and tech fest i.e. INNOTECH is conducted once a year. The college library is very big and you can issue any book you want, even you do not have to buy the curriculum books. Classrooms have comfortable seats, A.C., projectors, and a digital board. The campus has football, badminton, lawn tennis, volleyball, basketball, gym, pool, etc. games facilities. The college runs a social group Uddeshya which helps needy people.
Hostel Facilities
KIET has very excellent hostels. There are different hostels for students every year. Hostel costs around 95k with food facilities included in it. The food quality is best because regular checking of food is done. Hostels have Mess Committees that comprise students and they decide the menu of the mess. If you need a hostel then you have to pay fees with the college fees.
