It was very smooth. We had online counselling and document verification through a portal where all the required documents were supposed to be uploaded. It was a very simple process and just after verification, the admission was successful.
Course Curriculum Overview
Professors and teaching assistants are all very qualified and knowledgeable in their field. The courses are a bit rigorous and require quiet attention to grab good grades. The exams conducted this year was online mode.
Internships Opportunities
There are official seasons for the internship which is dominant in the third year. Companies visit us officially and select us on a resume basis. The internship salary is beyond expectations too. Optiver offered a 5 lakh per month stipend this year.
Placement Experience
Students are allowed to sit for placement in the fourth year and there are world class companies who visit us and offer a huge amount of salary. Last year highest package was 1.5 crore rupees for students of MEMS cracking an IT company offer.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are very high in my opinion, most of our courses are taught on pre recorded lectures and still, we are charged one lakh tuition fees. There is no justification why such an amount should be charged in online mode.
Campus Life
Life at IIT Bombay is like dreams come true. The brightest mind of the country at one place surely gives a spark to every occasion. There are opportunities everywhere and in every field. Extracurricular activities are as active as academics.
