Remarks

One of the main reasons was that it was a central government college in Pune. If I had gone through more rounds, I would have gone to other colleges, but I needed a CSE so chose this college. Placements for B. Tech students are excellent, which is another reason to choose this college. In terms of drawbacks, we don't have a permanent campus and Šhostel, they are still under construction. Furthermore, COEP, one of the best colleges in Maharashtra, is mentoring the college, which is a plus. The admissions process is the same as that of any other reputable IITs or NITs. We must provide all Bonafede certificates as well as a few undertaking forms. Due to covid-19 restrictions the admission process is being conducted online. Admission Date will be announced by JoSAA and physical reporting is not required as of now.

Course Curriculum Overview

CSE requires more practical knowledge rather than mugging up what is in the books and I also liked computers which was one of the main reason and another was job prospect. CSE students could get jobs in the field of their study easily compared to other courses. Academic planning is quite good. It copes with the present trend in industry and all the faculties are PhD holders from IITs and very well experienced.

Internships Opportunities

I haven't yet applied for internships but there are many opportunities in the college. It may research assistants for the professors or company based internships, they are all good. Highest stipend offered was 90kpm

Placement Experience

From 5th semester students are eligible for campus placements and as mentioned earlier campus are really good. Average package is 12LPA. Highest package offered was 36Lpa. Above 95% students are placed (I don't know the exact number). I plan to work after the degree.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As it is IIIT, the tuition fee is comparatively higher than other govt colleges. Students can avail scholarships provided by their respective state govt. Campus placements are excellent almost every student who applied were placed.

Campus Life

We have I-Conclave an yearly fest, Eklavya sports fest, and some small activities conducted by clubs. We have singing, dancing, art, coding, web dev, e-sports, sports, chess, badminton, and robotics club. All the above mentioned clubs are maintained by students. Students are free to play any sport using the equipment provided by the college. We have a library and some of the books are made available online via pdfs. Classroom has a blackboard, and projector. Wifi is available in the campus. It will be installed in the hostel as well .

Hostel Facilities

As it is not permanent campus the hostel fee is also comparatively higher. Each room accommodates 3 persons with attached bathroom. Cots, tables and cupboards will be provided by the college. Hostel accommodation is done during the admission process. Mess is operated by the students as of now so the food taste is very good. Rooms can be rented in the nearby apartments. But there are no nearby PGs available with in 1.5 2kms radius.

Admission

No, Group Discussion, Interview or Written Test for the admission. JEE Mains was the only criteria. JEE Mains is one of the most famous and tough exams in India. It consists of 12th standard Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

Dislikes

The hostel mess food lacks variety and quality, which is a frequent concern among resident students.
The placement department needs improvement as more core internship and job opportunities could be provided for undergraduate finance and BMS students
There is a lack of student-accessible Wi-Fi facilities across the campus premises, which makes online research difficult during college hours.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the BMS (Bachelor of Management Studies) course primarily due to its highly comprehensive coverage of core business aspects specially human resources. The curriculum is well-structured to offer a deep understanding of corporate administration and strategic management, which strongly influenced my decision to enroll. Regarding the examination structure, semester exams are conducted systematically every six months, with internal assessments, assignments, and class presentations spread across the term. The timing is generally manageable, and the difficulty level ranges from moderate to high, effectively testing a student's analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities rather than just memory recall.

Excellent college for diplomawith supportive faculty

teachers are helpful and you can ask them your doubts without any problem. most of them are quite supportive
there are technical events, sports and cultural programs during the year, so college is not only about studies
i liked the practical sessions and labs because we actually got to work on things instead of only learning the thoery

Dislikes

Placements opportunities could be better and i feel the college can bring more companies for students
Sometimes the academics workload can fell a bit much, espically when assignments, practicals and exams come around together
Using mobile in the collge is strictly not allowed and if used our mobile is taken and given after 6 to 7 days .

Placement Experience:

Placements at VES Polyetchnic are decent for a diploma college. students generally become eligible for placements in the final year.Pacages depend on the company and branch, with some offer going above 4 LPA. the placement cell also helps with interviews and internships. after diploma, many students also choose to continue with higher studies

the curriculum included both theoretical and practical subjects related to computer science ,which matches my interest in technology and career growth . The curriculum provided foundational knowledge ,practical assignments ,and project work that helped in understanding real word application More industry oriented training is suggested the exams were conducted after 6 months every semester some times the results are delayed by university

PES College of Engineering: Overview of the college

Likes

The campus of the college is vast with a natural environment
Many facilities like library, sophisticated labs, and classrooms are provided by the college
The Teachers cover each and every point of the syllabus and guide the students.

Dislikes

The syllabus is a little bit outdated, that is some points in the syllabus may seems boring and not applicable in the real world.
The Teachers should use the right techniques for teaching which makes the students more engaging in the class.
The menu of the canteen must contain some health option in a budget friendly way.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. The option of the offcampus palcement is also there for the students of the other colleges.

College campus, it is big, not much conjusted, good nature friendly
Freedom upto some level, no uniforms, no ID compulsion unless it is an exam
Events,every now and then there are events in college, cultural club is also too good here👍

Dislikes

Faculty is not much well qualified or well trained I would say
Hectic curriculum, boring schedules and quite unlivable
Labs and classrooms are too old, infrastructure is very old

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student,and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.

I like my college building,classes,labs.
Canteen is good.it provides good quality food.
Library is best. Very nice management and staff

Dislikes

Canteen is good but they must increase their staff.
Class should be sound proof.noice from outside disturbs.
Stationary staff should be increased and price should be decreased.

Placement Experience:

From sem 7 students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Accenture,Wipro, Microsoft, HyperVerge have visited college. In 2020 highest package was 30 lac per annum by Amazon. Last year only 40% students got the placement. I am planning for competitive exams after degree.

"The Best college"

Faculty of College Is good. All Faculty of College is Well worsed.
Library of the College is Very Good. Having plenty of books. Each Volumes and edition are available to the library.
The Moot Court hall is well equipped. Having all the facilities and modern techniques as well.

Dislikes

The Infrastructure of boys Hostel Should be improved
There is no canteen in college. College can try to open canteen
Parking for Bikes should be improve. College having ample of space for car parking

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chooses this curriculum as I am intrested to do law. Many of students and other peoples praises the college as "Best College of Law" in Marathwada region. To be honest. Really it is best college. Which gives us best curriculum during our academic year. The curriculum of college teaches me how to become a good lawyer. The arguing skills etc. There should be no suggestions from my side just to imrove the course curriculum as it is overall good. The timings and scheduled are fixed by college and university. Generally the exam is in two shifts 10:00 to 1.00 and 2.00 to 5.00pm.

Some departments here were really great like ETC and Mechanical with a unique culture going on
AIML and AIDS being new branches here are still doing their job very well for the students

Dislikes

The Students section not really tends to help ,as i saw many financially weak students facing the problem of 1 time payment fees and their request for part payments option is always rejected
Infrastructure is decent but in summer season the water coolers are just useless there ,no cooler will give you cold water

Course Curriculum Overview:

Some courses were to the point like IOT was well designed and DSA too with java programming side by side ,still as i said AIML is new branch and needs much enhancements ,the areas where they can improve was always practicals and labs those were always taken casual as i remember

Wealthy and good campus

Likes

I like the cleanness of the collage and premise
Very good interaction with other peaceful campus
Another thing i like is the infrastructure good campus amenities and learning facilities

Dislikes

The lab management no sitting arrangement many of the water taps not working ect
The office faculty most of them are rude in behaviour
The parking arrangements not well yet and not allowing any of four wheeler inside the campus

I love pharmacy and i love to see me as an pharmacist i like this profession because i like to see the other pharmacists how they work how they wear the lab coat ect thats why i choose this and as soon i get to know that we can also start a business by having a pharmacy license

My experience of iiit pune

I also applied to cse at IIIT jabalpur and allahbad, and chemical engineering at nit Warangal but I couldn't get a seat there. I was also getting ece in iiit jabalpur and cse in spit mumbai but I decided to take iiit pune cse over it.
