Remarks

First of all this is one and only fully funded state government engineering college in Jharkhand which is also my home state.The college campus is very large approx 500 acre.Placements in this college is above 70 % and for my branch i.e chemical engineering it s about 75%.Also the placements are in core companies too.The admission process is very simple just give jee mains and when the rank of the exam release then apply for the formation of merit list of Jharkhand students only on the portal (www.jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in 2021) once merit has come just apply for college and branch councelling on the same portal.The councelling will be completely online .once you have been alloted the college,go to college for physical verification and start your college journey.This college takes admission of students only of Jharkhand.

Being honest I choose this course because of its fields of job work like in petroleum industry the most.Faculty student ratio is 1:30.Exams are being taken regular within the time period allocated in the curriculum.

No being a second year student I am not eligible for internship.

College placement is far better than other private engineering colleges and government college in Jharkhand.College has a TRAINING AND PLACEMENT CELL which encourages and help students in building the skills and prepare for placements.Students from 3 year are eligible for placements.Various companies like relaince,TCS ,Tata Steel,usha Martin,JSW , Aditya Birla group, vedanta,Byjus, and many more.If a student is not placed then either he/she is a MBA /GATE /UPSC or any other exam/ field ASPIRANTS.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is very less as compared to any college or any government engineering college also.The fees for 1st year student is only 14462 for one year and for 2nd ,3rd,4th year student it is 12500.The fee for girls is even less than this which is about 7000 annually.The fee rebateis also given for SC/ST category student.Apart from this the students other than general category and son/daughter of government employees can apply for e-kalyan which is scholarship scheme in Jharkhand.

Campus Life

The campus life, I would say that is of best thing that I have ever felt about this college.The college has various clubs for various activities like MODEL CLUB for technical fest this club conduct it's annual tech fest called SANDHAN .Like this there are other technical clubs also like ISTE and IETE .Other clubs this college have are ARTS CLUB which conducts the college annual cultural fest .Also this college have some other clubs like ECO CLUB, ROTARACT CLUB,HNCC(hacking and coding club),AISEC .

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility,I would say is rather good than any other colleges I had visit.College provide hostel accommodation to students wo want to opt for hostel during councelling. Hostel fees is also very less which is about 7000 for one year.

Admission

No,there is no Group discussion and interview type of things for the admission all you have to do is to appear for jee mains exam and the apply for the merit preparation for Jharkhand students on the portal (www.jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in 2021).

Good for BCA without any tension and issues all things on time.

Likes

The college organizes great cultural events like the Navotsav fest during Durga Puja and the Roshni event for Diwali.
The faculty members are genuinely approachable, friendly by nature, and always ready to help students with their academic problems.
The campus infrastructure is quite good and provides a very decent environment for students to study and hang out.

Dislikes

The curriculum focuses a bit too much on theory; the college needs to prioritize providing more practical, industry-relevant knowledge.

Placement Experience:

To be honest, campus placements are quite low, and I don't think we can easily get placed directly from the college. Barely 40% of the students (or even fewer) get placed through the campus drives. However, if students practice coding and upskill on their own, they can secure off-campus placements by their second year. Because of the limited BCA placements, my personal plan is to pursue an MCA degree right after graduation.

Honest Review

Likes

At the starting phase of college , we have a beautiful campus (which is not ours actually , its on rent ) loacted at Namkum, Ranchi. known as JUT campus, but after that things are not good.
Some what I liked the sports culture, but we don't have any sports Club yet.

Dislikes

Placements(actually there are students who are the coordinators for the placement group , there is no any particular advisor or any TPO head is there earlier...now there is one TPO coordinator but things are becoming worst there.
No grounds for any sports, we don't have badminton court indoors, so we have to wait for wind to settle before we can play outside.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually my branch is Electronics and communication engineering but my major interest lies in development area , i have gained all the skills in my college by my own taking some guidance from the seniors as they are very helpful and supporting. Improvements in course curriculum could be like they have to basically add one more course or any training program to help students for making skills and teaching them for their placements.(apart of the course , i am saying not because i am from ECE department , its common from any branch student)

I like my college

Likes

I like their rules and regulation of college.
I like the annual sports, event, and cultural program.
Regular classes, labs, and time to time internal exams

Dislikes

Thing that I don't like is hostal cleaning, mesh food.
I think there is more rules and regulation for senior boys hostels.
From senior boys hostel they pass some comment to the girls

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course is the proper mindset from the class I chose to study btech. The areas for improvement in the course curriculum are more labs to be conducted proper smart classes to be held.

Likes

Environment of the college was good for girls
This was only women's University so there was no girls to boys ratio
In first structure was not so good as ladies toilet was not clean and good

Dislikes

No placement was there core companies never come
Faculties were not at all good and they are not at all cooperative
No life facilities was their special for science students

As it was the course and curriculum designed by government so course and curriculum was good areas of improvement should be infrastructure and lab practical methods should be improved specially for vocab vocational courses

Likes

the greenery of college campus is very nice
the environment of the college is very good
college library staffs are very well behaved

Dislikes

the faculty is not up to the mark , u will not be satisfied by their teaching
student intake is very very less so you will experience less competition
the college campus is beautiful yet very small

Placement Experience:

yes campus placement is offered . the average package is about 7 to 8 lakhs in C.S.E , the placement rate is about 90% for which above 7.5 CGPA is required . The placement rate for E.C.E and E.E.E are also decent .

College and my life as different aspects

Likes

The cleaness and the professor of the college and the campus
College has provided different uniform for the different departments
All departments have their own class and building all the labs are provided their for practical

Dislikes

College didn't have a proper regulation for all departments
College didn't conduct class every day or it didn't have a proper schedule and students are also not interested in classes
I think college have to provide scholarship for all categories and same for all the departments

Course Curriculum Overview:

The professor of the college aree well qualified but the regulations are very low the teaching process is good but the classes are not continuous and the students are not interested their are very less department which hav their proper schedule and in my major paper class are only proper but the AEC papers and minor paper never conducts a single class for students

Lack of water filter instead we have to pay for water

Course Curriculum Overview:

The current mode of our curriculum is CBME based that is competency based which has lessen the quantity of syllabus of mbbs course . This made the work of professors easy and the we as a students easily understand any topic and is easy for us in exam too .

Best nature of the faculties and their nature is also very humble
Laboratory were too good and much more space
Class were also very very good and hygienic neat and clean

Dislikes

Canteen food was not bad but their amount should be very shorter
Parking area is small but manageable to park the vehicle

Placement Experience:

Many students were selected in the placements in the last year good good companies were offering and the best thing is to be the college were very helpful regarding to the students placement some companies like Casper pharma etc their pay scale should is to approx 2lakh per annum.

Experience of an undergrad

Likes

college have great environment good facilities needed as per requirements ,college also have good spacious hostels and we can say better food comparing to what i heard from friends of different colleges ,the evening time is soothing and relaxing
a great senior junior interaction culture and memorable friendships letting you forget the world outside the campus, every festivals are celebrated with joy and fun ,from leaving a family to moving to another one you would love.
some of lectures are quite boring but some will amaze you with visionary thoughts ,every faculty will guide you if they see you lagging behind the course ,some extra sessions are also conducted, introducing new fields to think out of the box

Dislikes

things which i wish might get some improvements are sports facilities big grounds for sports activities students encouragement towards co-curricular activitiy, co-curricular activities get more support to come out with glorious and imagining skills.
fests do contain fun but due to time constraints before fests planning of amazing activities becomes difficult thus leading same things going on repeating, absence of good team leaders leading activities plays major role in activity failure and bored
night out time is a small problem, the area close to college is developing hence not having nearby much places for fun and chillouts spending your free time relaxing.

Placement Experience:

The placements in the college is average as during 2023-24 it was recession period all over the colleges are facing placements lags but still college students managed to achieve 22 lakhs+ off campus as well as 16 lakhs on campus placement.The college reached his highest placement of 51 lakh during 2023 ,the average package is 5-6 lakh and the placements percentage are 85 percent for cse students,the students completing 7th semester are eligible for on campus placement drive as well as off campus,some of the prominent companies visited are Microsoft, cognizant, samsung, byjus,infosys and 50 more.I will prepare for gate and after that i will try to get on and off campus placements which i will find better accept the offer.

BIT : A Freshman's Perspective

I could have gotten admitted in NIFFT Ranchi and by the 2k24 cut offs I could have gotten BIT mesra Chemical alonwith a plethora of colleges on AKTU or MPDTE counclling.I also qualifies CUET with a decent rank enough to secure a college in the DU south campus. The primary reason I chose this college was the Return on investment.Even withot any fees waiver the entire fee here is close to 4 lakhs for a span of 4 years which is very low compared to the average package of the college.Als the branch Mechanical has a decent scope in the GATE exams. First of all this college is only for the students of Jharkhand.If you wanna get admitted here and belong to the general category you need a percentile from 87 to 94.5.If you are from other categores the cutoff goes even lower.The admission process is quite simple.You fill a form which will ask you for a security deposit of 5000 on the jcece website.After this you will be eleigibke to do choice filling.You will be alloted a branch based of your rank and choice.Forgetting admission you will have to vsit the college annd submit all your documents.You can upgrade your branch in the later rounds.There are 3 rounds and 2 special rounds....Read More

i chose this college over the other because it was convinient for me to travel to this coolege it is near my home town. not only this the college annual expense is very less as compared to different colleges. this is also a government college basically a state government college . i did not get any rejection to the colleges i applied for but this college i thought is best for me. To get admission in BIT Sindri the jee mains result is important. Based on jee mains a Jharkhand based councelling is done where students who applied must be a resident of jharkhand get a common merit list rank and based on that rank one gets admission in different colleges that comes under the jharkhand state . So my college comes under jharkhand government which is following jee mains percentile /ranks for admission. For general category students Scoring above 95 percentile gives them opportunity to have cse branch and gradually decreases for other branches.
