Best Government College with great Faculties and Great college Life

I applied in a few colleges like DDIT, Nirma, LJ and LD, I was getting admission in all of the colleges I listed but Nirma was much costly and DDIT was bit far from my native town so I opted for admission in ld college. Both DDIT and Nirma is great college though I can't say the same for LJ. I was getting admission in the desired branch so there was nothing to worry though LD is pretty competitive to get into as you need to be in the top 1000 in the state to get admission in the Computer or IT department and under 3000 to get into the EC department. The admission process was pretty simple. We paid some token fees and then went for orientation where we met many students and got to know about the further processes for completion of the admission process so there wasn't anything complex in the first place. There you can ask any officer or student if you get stuck in the process also you get a book to know about the process and you can check previous year cutoffs for all the colleges which fall under GTU.

I chose ECE cause I was interested in hardware and software fields. ECE department also has one of the best and supportive faculties whether you're a bright student or average one you can get help from faculties so that's the best part about this course. They help you in pretty much any thing that's bothering you. We get to use all the lab equipments due to supportive faculties and they help us using these equipments as well. The BE in ECE is pretty easy though as university exams are based on previous year questions so you can easily pass the exams if you study a bit during exam time. You also get lots of free time to use building skills and investing in other stuff you like. There ain't much attendance issue as well in first two years though you need to be little attentive in last two years cause there your CGPA is counted.

Honestly, I am yet to do an internship (which is compulsory in last year) so I would tell you from what I have heard from my seniors. You'll have to find an internship as soon as possible or else the faculty will give you few options for the internship. It is not easy task to get an internship as well. You'll be doing final year projects as well so in short you'll be doing final year project in one semester and internship in another one.

Placement support is good plus our faculties help us to prepare for interviews and tests so that helps us as well. We get few good companies for on-campus placements also the placement record is pretty great (especially in our department). Last time highest package in our department was around 16L so If you're average to good at your field you can grab a 8L to 12L of package pretty easily. There will be many students preparing for masters in abroad or country so you get enough chances to appear in placements and get placed. LD is best if you're planning to do a masters or MBA after college cause you save tons of money which you can use later for masters. There is very good support for startups as well so if you're dreaming of building your own business or company go ahead you'll make great network and you'll get great financial support as weill.

LDCE is a Government college so fees are too low about 2300 rupees a semester which is very low compared to those private colleges who charge you lacs in fees. So that's the best part about LD. There are many scholarships available as well though you won't need one cause there will be only a cost of living and if you can get into a hostel then that cost gets cutoff as well cause the hostel fee is also somewhat around 3600-4000 annually.

There is no shortage of fests in our college as there are many national and state-level fests happening around the year with the public in a number of thousands. You get to explore and work in the fests and you can make new connections there with other department students. You have many clubs so there'll be events the whole year and you can do many club activites in these clubs from building robots to helping the poor and orphans. You also get to learn lots of stuff like marketing, sales and management as you will get to bring sponsors and will organize big events managing small teams. Moving to academics stuff you get tons of books there with departmental libraries and another college level library as well. You get a great internet connection in departments and LAN connections as well and they're free to use so you can do pretty much anything in the department. We have many sports facilities like a Tennis court,cricket ground, badminton court, volleyball ground and nets, football nets and ground.
