Remarks

No, I enrolled through management so it was finished in a day. No, I didn't use any Quota since I was admitted to the management quota I wasn't eligible. No, 60 + in academics required. It was quite good and I paid my fees within a day.

Course Curriculum Overview

To be an Electrical engineer I took up this course, as my cousins were Electrical engineers I want to be in the same line up. Faculties are equipped with good knowledge. But some staff from circuit departments don't empathy because they have some rules to be followed. And also they will prejudge us sometimes. Exams, Clearing exams will be easy but scoring isn't easy because we have performed really well from the first PT exams it will be reflected as our internal marks. Join EEE but it's sure you won't be able to be free enough as other departments.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Placement Experience

From the 6th sem, I was eligible. I have 2 offers on campus but I didn't go for them. 10 LPA from sales field from campus. It's 3.5 LPA. It depends on the year, do not depend on last year placement result because it varies a lot, Never think that you will be placed in your core, most of us was placed in IT to learn some basics in coding. Got placed in IT field (off campus )after 5 months of course completion, planning to appear in Govt. Exams. Most staff will teach you to choose the right path like guide you.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since I was admitted in management Quota I was not eligible for any kind of scholarship I have paid my full fees, It costs me nearly 6 lakh for 4 years. Without hostel and transportation and food. Yes, there was a sudden hike because they have got NBA and other certifications which turned them into an Autonomous institution from Anna university. You will be receiving your degree certificate in the braces of An Autonomous institution.

Campus Life

Yeah, I have attended each and everything but you won't get attendance for all these activities, you have to manage both. The classrooms are good. The library is also good. I have taken part In NSS, it was a quite nice experience.

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.

I applied to Chennai Institute of technology where the fee structure was enormously high. Ehere as the SRM valliammai has good infrastructure and also the fee was reasonable. No, i didn't get rejection from Chennai Institute of technology. But i got impressed when i went for visiting SRM valliammai as one of my college hunt. SRM valliammai offers both government quota and also admission directly to the college. I went through government quota. So to apply SRM on should be completed 12th grade with reasonable percentage.
