I gave my AIEEE in 2012 and secured 39k rank in it and was called for the counselling. At that time, I had an option to choose between an engineering college from IP University, Delhi or go for Jaypee. With much consideration, I shortlisted Jaypee for its better reputation than IP Colleges at the time. It's a decent college for someone within my rank range.

The first year of college had the same subjects for all the branches including Maths, Physics, Basic Programming, and Presentation & Communication Skills. The subjects differ from the second year when your branch subjects start coming in. As far as I think, it is a pretty sorted out curriculum covering the major branch subjects that were to be covered.

No, Jaypee does not provide internships, at least it didn't until I was there in college i.e till mid-2016.

During my placement session (2015-16), many companies visited our campus, which gave everyone ample opportunities to get placed. I don't have the exact stats, but a majority of the students were placed through on campus placements. We had many companies visiting our campus, be it from high-end companies such as Amazon, SAP, Deloitte to mass recruiters such as Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Aricent etc.

There are various societies in college that you can be a part of, ranging from technical, cultural, managing events etc. There is something or the other going on within the college premises by these societies that will keep you engaged if at all you are interested.

Alumni do help in building a strong network for the college. In Jaypee, alumni do play a part in getting their companies to the campus for on-campus placements. Even the seniors are quite helpful in guiding their juniors. But as far as I know, there are no alumni meets organised by the college for the alumnus to get together and keep in touch with the college.

Yes, this is one thing that not many students of Jaypee are happy about, including me. We had 3 exams within a span of a semester which made it quite hard for a student as you had exams just popping up every month. Also, the exams usually happen within a week, sometimes even 2 exams a day, which was not at all convenient. In my opinion, such frequency of exams leads us not to worry much of the exams anymore.

The admission process is quite straightforward as it is for other colleges. You have to fill out the college form beforehand. Once the results are announced, on the basis of your rank, you are called upon for the counselling session in which are called upon to choose your stream on the basis of your rank. You are given a preference form initially for you to fill out your branch preferences.

I would rate the faculty to be average. Some faculty really puts in their efforts to make the student learn, some really don't. But overall I would say that in Jaypee, a student has to self-learn, rather than being dependent on the faculty. Majorly, in my opinion, the student has to figure out a way to study by themselves, even if they are totally attentive in the class. But that is just what I think.
