Entrance Preview

I joined JUIT in 2010 so I got admission through AIEEE exam conducted at that time. Now the things have changed, I hear. I got a rank of 54000 something. I joined this college as it was offering me the course of my choice ,i.e, Electronics and Communication. Also , after visiting this beautiful college once, I could not go anywhere else.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course is highly structured for the research. We find well read faculty and labs with every equipment we may require. College staff is more than ready to help the students in any way possible. We just have to be dedicated to our course, college takes care of the rest.

Placement Experience

4.5

College takes whole responsibility of getting all the students placed in the industry. Maximum number of companies visiting are the IT companies. In IT also, most of the companies are service companies. Product based companies and other prestigious companies also do visit the campus but take only a handful of the students.

College Events

4.5

There were numerous events organized by different clubs in the college. There was Diksha for freshers, Le Fiest us as an annual fest. Other small events were equally shared by all the clubs. Tech Fest was organised by the tech club. on similar lines, Literary Fest, rendezvous were organised. We used to have Bon fire and numerous flash mobs.It was really fun being in college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Only Scholarship I am aware of is the one given to Bhutanese. This brought so much diversity in the college.

Exam Structure

Exam is structured in 2 phases. Mid term and End term. For some subjects there used to be open book tests. For labs, they conducted rigorous viva tests after we were done with performing the lab practical exams. Level of exams was a little difficult and few days before exam was quite hectic.

Admission

I applied for this college by filling up the college form before the exam. Based on my AIEEE ranking, I was called for the counselling. During counselling I was given option to fill up my details and the preferences for courses. There was a screen displaying the numberos seats left for the courses in real time so that we could make better choices.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at my college are average. A few reputed companies visit the campus each year, but the number of offers and salary packages varies depending on the branch and market conditions. Students who have strong academic performance, technical skills, internships, and good communication skills generally have better chances of getting placed.
