Remarks

I took Mechanical engineering, eligibility for applying to this course is that you have a pass mark or percentage in your higher secondary exams and you apply for it. The application forms and others can be availed at anna University where there will be a state-wide admission process to join the colleges. The persons and students are given the chance to select their required colleges based on the hierarchy of the marks scored by them in their higher secondary final exams. Benefits are provided based on the caste and the sports quota. Personally, I didn't enjoy any such benefits. Although having them can get you the better college that you want. The cut-off marks for each college are determined based on the previous year's trends and the availability of seats on that college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose this course for the fact that I liked mechanics and working of gears and was fascinated by it from a younger age. This was the main reason for taking up mechanical engineering. The faculty available are good to the standards of the college. They are good in the case of the main or needed courses but for other nonmain courses the faculty are mediocre and they are not reliable also. The staffs available are good and are very helpful for that matter. The qualifications of the professor are mostly with master's degree and some have Ph.D. and some are undergoing their Ph.D. while working as professors. The exams are repetitive and not too difficult. But there are exams on a circular basis every other week.

Internships Opportunities

1.5

Internships are not provided by the college. If you want to have any experience or any internship those must be done only by the student or the candidate who wishes to Pursue this under his own violation. The college does not provide any opportunities and in most cases may become a hindrance due to the scheduling of the college days and periods which are strictly not revised based on the availability of students rather the needs of the students. So it's pretty much in the hands of the Student to join an internship and work for the stipend if they want any.

Placement Experience

3.5

The students from the sixth semester are taken for the placements and once if you are placed in a company they will recruit you once after successful completion of your college years or your course or to be precise your degree. Some of the companies ask for a no arrears and back logs students and some ask for no history of arrear also. It depends on the scale of the company. Usually the four major companies that comes for placement are Infosys, Tata consultancy services, cognizant technology and services, wipro They take up bulk recruitment It's the major contributor and they take up about twenty percent of the students from the college Other companies also comes as part of day two and day zero placements and they take bread crumbles alone.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is limited to the amount the university standards and it's within that limit only. The fee is about 90,000 INR for the college and tuition fee while 60,000 INR for the hostel fee per year or per semester. This may subject to vary based on the mode of joining as such as recommendations and government quota and for each quota and caste, there are fee waivers. It can be as low as 40000 INR per year or semester for SC or ST caste students. The fee hike is nominal and less they do not increase the price as the year goes by and it the fees remain fairly constant throughout the year of studying.

Campus Life

1.5

The Campus life is not good in this college. If you are looking for a good college life this is not an ideal choice for your venture. There is no such things as annual fest and tech fest in the campus or for a matter of fact inside the institution itself. This is a big letdown for those students who expect a good college life. The books availability in the college library is fairly good There is no separate library for separate departments and there is one common library for the whole campus and they carry mostly general books. Amenities in the classroom is also a letdown and bad experience. There are no separate dedicated projectors or any other facilities inside the classroom. Sports is the worst of them all there is no dedicated sports time or for the matter sports room also. Male and female gender transactions of any sort are not allowed and is strictly prohibited and is the worst rule of them. You cannot even speak freely with students of another gender.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facilities can be availed by anyone who wants to stay at a hostel and also there is a catch or a condition for this, the simple condition is that the person willing to stay if he is a male student must not have his permanent address near the surroundings of the college. The meal quality is good here If you prefer nonvegetarian you are in for a treat but just one treat that is chicken And nothing else Weekly five times you are provided with chicken dishes. If you are a vegetarian also there is no problem They have separate courses of meals and side dishes for them too The menu is what they provide. It's kind of a mess rather than a canteen You are provided meals in the sitting position where they will come by and provide you the food, not like a buffet system.

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.
