The management of the college must focus on reducing the stress of the students by organizing more events and providing break time after every lecture to give students time to boost up their energy.
Entrance Preview
For admission into Poornima University, the requirements were to have passed 10+2(any stream) of C.B.S.E., I scored 80.25% in 12th. The reason for choosing Poornima was the unique learning environment and the Online mode of learning as well as Online Examination.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course was varied from business administration to cost accounting, all of the management subjects’ basics are taught for further pursuing MBA. There is a variation in the subjects as we study law, banking and many more subjects like these.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, PU provides Summer internship programs for students who are pursuing B.Tech or MBA. The companies that came up for the internship are HCL, Creative technos, Doordarshan, Idea Cellular Limited, BSNL, WIPRO, Aditya Birla Group Jabalpur. The average stipend offered was 5000 per month
Placement Experience
Excellent placements as one of the students got through the process of GOOGLE and was placed with a package of 37 lakh per annum. Other than this, companies that came were Tata Steel, Zomato, Cruiseline Ship Management(with a package of 28.56 lakhs with a student count of 22 students), ABBOTT India and many more.
College Events
The events celebrated in the college were not many as the college did not organize freshers party or a farewell party to the students. Though Sports day was celebrated and various sports events happened with a maximum participation of students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees for the course BBA was nominal of 50,000per year plus 5,000 security deposit that would make it to be 155,000 for the course.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are available to the students who excel in the academics and there is a facility of loan provided to the students from various banks like HDFC, Standard Chartered Bank.
Campus Life
Campus life was fun as most of the time was spent in classrooms so to relieve the stress, we could workout in the Gym, play sports though the equipments were not enough. There were socities like dramatics, dance and singing to enhance the skills of the students. Moreover there was hostel fest organized every year to encourage students for extracurricular activities.
Hostel Facilities
The college provides hostel services for girls as well as boys. ATM is available inside the campus, regular shuttle services, Wifi, gymnasium are some of the other services provided to the students. The food is average with not much to offer everyday.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni are encouraged to proliferate the use of the Alumni site to see the updates related to campus, regional activities and educational opportunities arranged by alumni association members. Senior students are also available for the ease of students providing them with the most of information they have about the campus as well as the exams.
Exam Structure
The exams are held two per day with the students getting minimum time to be prepared and making them feel lethargic throughout the day. Instead the college should focus more on building the gaining capacity of students by providing more time between two exams i.e of a day or two
Faculty
The faculties are well qualified and provide the best of information to the students. My soft skills have been improved courtesy to Ms. Kulsum Bano, HoD, Department of English. Students are provided mentors to clear their doubts regarding any career query.
