I appeared for Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination(jcece-2013) and secured 69.75 marks out of 150 and my rank was 938. I opted for this college as it is one of the oldest engineering colleges of India.
Course Curriculum Overview
Coming to the courses B.I.T sindri was the first college in Asia to introduce Production Engg branch . There are 10 branches presently being tougth in this college. Our college is a more research oriented college . We impart skill to many small scale industries in our campus and for that we have a seperate wing where continous emphasis is laid on research to help various small scale industries.

Placement Experience
Placement and job opportunities from our are satisfactory. Last year 330+ students were placed from our college with the best offer made was 14 LPA by Direct and the Avg. package was 4 LPA among the placed. The major companies that visited our college was TCS, Accenture, TATA Steel, Yodlee, Jindal Stainless, Adani Transmissions,Oyo rooms, Trafag Control.
College Events
Our college's top techno-management fest is Sandhan which is hosted in our college by Model Club. This fest is a full one week extravaganga with all the tech related stuff like robo wars, water bots, coding contest, gaming gig, and the last concluding day is celebrated with a mega event . Last year the mega was on Laser show.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure of our college is one of the best in India . The yearly fee structure is as follows College fees- Rs 10420, Hostel Charge- Rs 3000, Electricity Charge- Rs 1800.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are awarded to economically weak students and to meritious students , in case of girls the college yearly fees in half the actual amount. And educations loans are also easily available .
Campus Life
The campus life is the most memorable thing that every student of this college cherishes. Our college campus is spread over 400 acers . gender ratio is almost 3:1 boys and girls. We have 2 large grounds for sports including multi gym.
Hostel Facilities
Our college is a fully residential college. In the first year 5 students per room , Second year 4 students per room, third year 2 students per room and final yr students and the PG students are provided single rooms. PG students pay Rs 5000 yearly for accomodations. The mess food is up to the standards keeping in mind the mess charge .
Exam Structure
We have 3 exams per semester class test of 10 marks , midesm of 20 marks, end semester of 70 marks, apart from these we have sessionals and that ranges from 4-5 sessionals per semester . Every sessional has 5-6 assignments which takes 4-5 weeks of completions time.
Faculty
Almost all our college faculty are Phd. All our faculty members are very experienced with teaching experience of over 30 yrs and the best thing is that 90% of our faculty are graduates from this college only so they also take pride in teaching us with a memory that sometime they were also on the receiving end .
