Remarks

I had to do the admission online, There were no such entrance examinations. The merit list was listed by percentage, and I had the required percentage so I got the admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose BCA because I have had an interest in computers since childhood, I know some of the programming languages and since I enjoy computers I opted for BCA, there are only 64 students in the BCA department. Teachers are well qualified and I am enjoying my classes. Since it's only 2 months since the class has started we had only 1 sessional exam and it was not very easy nor tough.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 24000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The companies that offer internship opportunities are some well-known companies of India, some examples are Mahindra, Tata, etc. Our seniors have done many projects and tasks offered under internships with a stipend.

Placement Experience

I think the percentage needed to get the placements is above 90%. I am planning on doing my master's too in this college but if I get placement after my BCA I will do my master's in open university. That is my pan so far.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is not so high,12000 is a good amount for this quality of teaching, Scholarship comes almost every 2 months so every student from our college can apply for the scholarship, the campus is very good, we have a clean canteen.

Campus Life

I am a newcomer in this college so I do not know much about all this but I do know that sports week will be in December or January, we have many clubs for students run by students such as sports club, cultural club, etc.

Thoughts regarding my college

Likes

Have a canteen and a cafe type where we can have good quality delicious food whenever felt hungry
Faculties are very good in our department
Better transportation facilities available

Dislikes

I didn't dislike anything there.Everything was good

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement in 5th semester.Various companies come for placement like HDFC bank and more.The package that was offered was around 2lpa in 2024.During our time placement drive was organised in 5th semester but the companies demanded immediate joining which was not possible for us to join since we were already left with one more semester to complete .

All Teachers are very friendly and always they are helping us.
Teachers was regularly take their classes and all doubts have been cleared

Dislikes

Some Elected members was not work properly and not clearify the students doubt.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had a little bit of interest in computers from my childhood. When I grew up the interest is increased a little bit more. After completing my HS I decided to take admission in the Computer science program. Then one of my friends suggested me to take admitted to Madhab Choudhary college, BARPETA for the BCA course. Our faculty : student ratio is 1:15 . Our Both two facilities had completed master degree course in Computer Application . I will not say that they are give their best to teach us but they are good in teaching . After every 5 month they conduct sessional exam . And the final exam is held in every six month of period . There is little bit moderate to pass the examination .

Admission:

Admission process is fairly simple.Students interested in this course can fill the admission form and will be selected based on their merit in higher secondary which should be 45% minimum (for general and OBC) and 40% for SC/ST. They should've mathematics/statistics/CAES as one of their subjects.

Remarks:

The study is good for self financed courses but the fees is high,teachers are good and everhelping. Office and library staff is lazy. The building is good with 24 hour electricity. Classes are well equipped with mics and projector. The competition is very high to get into this college

Our college is one of the known and best college in Assam. It is a college of Britain times. Here ,every student and faculties co-operate. The needs of student and teachers are equally valued.and just that the infrastructure is poor though since it has turned into University now there are work in constructions are going on.

The college is undisciplined ,the are many holidays without any reason, students are seen to walk across the whole college during classes and mobile phone is allowed in the class, they are making calls in the class

Well as per as the management side is concern there no conclusion left behind the management is very good we got our regular class on time and the overall maintenance is very good as per as the college management is concern.

My opinions on PRAGJYOTISH COLLEGE

I was preparing for competitive exams like JEE and CUET , but they didn't work out and most of the colleges like Cotton , B Borah and all dosent provide BSc in computer science. I didn't got a rejectection , but the seat was completely filled by the time i got there. The process for getting admission is : After class 12 results, you have to apply in a website called Samarth , to apply in all over Assam colleges. You can apply in how many you like . In some colleges you can take addmission through JEE scores , or by CEE And by CUET also . The cutoffs aren't much high for this college, 60-70% will get you addmission in Pragjyotish college.
