JIIT Noida, B.Tech, Computer Science

Reviewed on Aug 27, 2016

Entrance Preview

I got 109 in my IIT MAINS. And 90% in 12th which gave me a collective of around 96000 all india. I chose JIIT because i found its one of the best colleges to pursue engineering specially in computer science.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, They provide summer training 6th semester onwards. Many companies highly reputed comes like TCS, Microtek, Bata, Adobe, Apolo, Cream bells, Jabong, Samsung, Vodafone. The fourth year students summer training programme is being held in the months June and July of every year.

Placement Experience

The Training and Placement Cell located at JIIT Noida centrally handles campus placement of the graduating students. students graduating in 2015 from of all our three Universities , have received offers from national and multi-national companies with CTC varying from 3.4 lac to 24 lac.

College Events

2.5

The college does not only focuses on academics but also has all the events. We have technical fest, Cultural fest, Academic fest and many more. Dandiya night and freshers are the events which include all the glam.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is fine. Yes it is expensive for some but also it is feasible for others. The college takes approx 2 lacs for non hostellers for b.tech in my year And 3 lacs for hostellers. The NRI quotas have to pay alot more. Some of the expenses are pointless.

Fees and Financial Aid

I really have no clue about this. As i m in 2 nd year. I have not came across any scholarship students or loan students yet. There maybe or may not be. I m blank about this.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is hectic yet beneficial. They conduct exams 3 times a semester. T1 t2 n t3. In my opinion the exam schedule is not very good because i don't see the point of taking 3 exams a semester. However, 2 times would work fine.

Faculty

2.5

Faculty is great. They enhance our learning experience in rather fun ways. They help and motivate us to think beyond walls of classrooms. More focussed on thinking them learning.

Overall Feedback for College - Admission , Placement , Course , Faculty , Events

Likes

the security is nice at my college like proper cctv and guards , apart from that labs , and my dept is too good. Ac classroom and labs
They have provided average placement like most of companies are mass hiring like tcs and accenture ..and only few companies come to offer big package
Infrastructure is good but there is need of reconstruction at some places the water is ticking in rain season continuously, and curriculum is okay okay not that much relevant to industry , they taught text books rather than the real practical cases

Dislikes

The examination checking - the student who is cr or having any relation with teachers got highest marks without writing the answer properly
The food canteen first of all the canteen is off from the past 1 or 2 year and now it reopen but it sells dirty food , waste foods
The college professor support , they are not that much supportive

Course Curriculum Overview:

coding I am interested in coding that why I offer this course It provide some courses but not all courses are related to real world they have to use practical examples and make students aware of the real industry According to me the time and frequency is okay of exam

Some Points about JIIT

choosing jiit over other private colleges seemed like a smart decision due to it's good average package in Delhi NCR. I applied to the northcap university in gurgaon and i was selected there but after talking to students there and looking at the average package of the college i chose jiit being it close to metro station also it is in a good location too. Main reason was fro choosing jiit was also that i didn't had good jee rank to get accepted in the good government colleges. i also got into ipu but again the placements stats influenced me alot...Read More
