Remarks

You can apply for the PESSAT online and you will receive the details of the examination center a month before the exam. The syllabus is mentioned in the PES website. The examination fee is 1050. Exams were conducted in a very smooth manner. After the announcement of results, you have to come to college for Counselling with all relevant documents. After the admission, you will be given an admission kit

Course Curriculum Overview

I have opted for this course because I am interested in this field. All classes have almost 60 students. It is obvious that not all faculty are good, but only a few in every department have a deep understanding in their subjects. Exams have been so frequent in PES, due to pandemics we had very less few classes. But however, they completed all the portions

Internships Opportunities

PES provides both on-campus and off-campus intership opportunities, which are helpful for students. Intership starts from the 4th semester. Companies include microsoft, Atlassian, GoldmanSachs, JP Morgan Chase, Morgan Stanley. For projects, you can work with professors who will guide you.

Placement Experience

From 6th semester onwards you are eligible for the placements. PES University has very good placements stats, of all colleges in Bengaluru. Recently one student got a international offer of whopping 1.5cr which is the highest ever placement in PES.The company is a UK based company named confluent. Also PES has a very good placement percentage Cons: The capping system is in almost every college, so students need to be careful while applying for the companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Over the past year, fees have been hiked by 1lakh rupees. MRD, CNR Rao merit scholarship provided by the college. I am currently a student at PES, and internships would start from the 2nd year. Placements will start from 3rd year

Campus Life

Atmatrisha is the annual fest conducted in PES University, but due to covid, it has not been possible. In regard to clubs, there is a hell of a lot of clubs. Since the student's intake is higher, so are the clubs. Also, we have many websites run by students. Every club has its website, which is run by the members of the club.

Hostel Facilities

I stay in a three sharing room. The total cost of a hostel is 1.5lakhs. For food, we have three mess, Namdhari Veg Hostel Mess Food Court comparatively food court provides nice food. For registration, you can come to the hostel building and get an application from the warden's office. Later you need to introduce a Local Guardian. He is a person who lives in Bengaluru, more than 35 years of age, who will be intimated regarding anything about you. My friends have rented a PG near to the college at very affordable rates.

Making it compulsory to do projects from first year onwards and emphasizing on publishing papers which are good for longer run
Skill labs is fun and useful (in general for most branches)
No ragging, students are not discriminatory and are helpful

Dislikes

Though projects are good, at times it becomes difficult to manage so many at the same time
During CIE's, there are 2 exams on one day which makes it tough
Some teachers dont follow marks breakdown and give marks as they feel. Especially for lab manuals.. they dont check the manual and put random marks

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is a mix of both Computer Science and AIML which is increasingly relevant in today's world. Second year: Subjects like Mathematics for AIML, Data Structures, Stats for Data Science, Computer Networks, Third year: DBMS, ANN, ML operations Some other elevtives are also available and courses like Universal Human Values, POME, EIPR etc. Honestly, POME, EIPR, UHV should have less course credits and probably MCQ type exams (like IC and Yoga in first year). Curriculum is good and updating for applications helped along with projects. Exams are generally once in a month, 1.5 - 2 units for each subject each exam. Lab exams at the very end before CIE marks finalization. Then 2 weeks gap for Lab SEE, then 1 week gap and actual SEE's.

The maintenance of campus is good ,and the college events , and the teaching level is also excellent and the particular student have there own mentor they guide in each thing
The way they support us encourge us for our success and support in every situation and also support to the students in placment or training opportunities
If we lack or we are in problem they will support to come out if that with good solution

Dislikes

the college is not too strict for that reason the students may spoil easily
the ratio of our college is like 60:40 that is the majority are boys , and the college fan are slow which cause problem in summer
the college washrrom are not clean that cause problem,lack if industry

At the 6 th semester the students are eligible for placements and compaines visited our college are cloud fabric , crafty sogo , congnizent and some training like v tech , qspriders , pentagon space,alpheoleo , medini and some more the highest package is 5 lakh and the lowest is 3 lakh . around 10 to 15 students have been placed from cse dept after the degree i have one good salary job so to settle my life

KSIT has an average placement rate of 70%-85% depending on the branch . CSE,ISE and ECE branches have higher placements while mechanical and civil have fewer opportunities in IT sector . Average package is about 4-6LPA . KSIT attracts many IT based recruitiers with some core companies for non -IT branches . It also provides pre-placement training, coding boot cams, aptitude tests and soft skills development . Alumni network is moderate, but students need off-campus efforts for high paying jobs

The college campus is very small it’s just of 8 acres
The ratio of boys girls is 2:1 in the college

Placement Experience:

The placement of our college is great like and avg package is 100000 and it's in campus from 2st semester only the students become eligible for campus placement. Flipkart,TCL and aml many more companies came the highest package in 2023 got of 52 lakh in AIMl and the avg package is 10 lakh. The percentage of the students getting placements is 60-70% my plans after getting the degree to do master in abroad

It's a good environment in the college and spacious classrooms
There is no sort of ragging all the seniors are super friendly

No proper management for the events and attendance for the students taking part

Campus selections are available companies like TCS,wipro and many more come to our college do the campus selection the highest package was 1,25,000 and the lowest was 55,000 almost more than half of the students get placed during the campus selections and the rest by the end of the course get a job

The campus is very good , it is peaceful , it has the best environment for a student to pursue his studies
The faculties are highly qualified , most of the faculties (lecturers) are PHD holders. They've got plenty of experience to share their knowledge with the students
We've got plenty of opportunities to improve our skills , lecturers gives us more space to solve our doubts.

Dislikes

For a B-tech college it is new , we are still expecting the campus placements
The campus is a bit underrated for a B-tech college

Placement Experience:

The College was there for more than 10 years , but there was only Post graduate courses available , like M-tech , Msc , etc. The College for B-tech has started just before 2 years , there are no batches which has been output till now. The students are also waiting to see the batches to get output and see the placements taking place. As a student I am also eager about the campus placements.

What i most lile about this collage is its infrastructure styl
It has a very good environment lile very green
It even has a ganapati temple in the campus

Dislikes

Water quality is hostel is not good like not filterd properly
Hot water supply is only in morning not at all time
And i dont personally hate anything on the campus

The placement in the college are very good actually like more then 300 companies have visited the college and more then 950 jobs have been offered to the students companies like infosys, tcs, wallmart, global tech india, accenture, visa, dell technology, intel etc and mass recruter are companies lile infosys and tcs which gove 50+ and 60+ offers respectively. And last year there where 8 students who got 64 lpa and in which four(4) students where from information science and engineering that is our department. Our department is very good and if you take information science you can get a very good job

I applied to KIIT, VIT, DSCE, BMSIT along with the usual IIT and NIT with BITS. I did not clear JEE, nor was able to get somewhat of a good score for CSE in BITS. I wanted to pursue CS, so instead of choosing a course I did not like in BITS, I chose CS in PESU. I chose PESU because the placements outdo the others, while also having a better reputation than the others. For our batch, it was giving the admission test called PESSAT, through which you got a rank, and based on that you could enter the counselling round and choose your course based on your rank. Except this college I had applied to RV college of engineering which is the goated college of banglore but because of the cutoff in that college I was not able to join that college. I was allocated to BMSIT college in my 1st round of Kcet but the college was the second branch of BMS College so I choose PES . No I didn't get any rejection from other college but the only issue was the cutoff of RV college of engineering i didn't had enough rank to join there . To join into our college there is a common entrance exam conducted by Karnataka government known as KCET .most students prefer this exam as it reduces the fee of your college.
