Remarks

Our college has great facilities and good placements.

Entrance Preview

I applied though my score in common entrance test conducted by the Punjab Technical University with a good score, I took admission into B.tech stream in Computer science engineering in 2015. Almost 85% of the seats are reserved for state students and remaining 15% go apply through JEE score. And i have been surprised by the college in a good way. I did not except this college to be this good and the faculties are one of the reasons why I say this.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Our college tries to empower us with Industrial experience more then anything so, they try to incorporate various industrial visits and guest lecture sessions with many dignitaries of the industrial world. In engineering, hands on experience is a must and our college makes a lot of efforts to make this happen.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, our college provides internships in many companies to provide us students a brief idea of what the industrial world holds for us.

Placement Experience

3.5

Our college and its placement record is next to none, the dedicated placement cell is the main reason behind the placement record of our college. They provide 100% assistance in placements but its up to the students to show their caliber and crack the interviews and get placed. Some of the companies that visited us are IFB, TATA, Cadbury, Axis Bank, Cipla, IBM, Eastman, The Hero Group, Su-kam, Godrej, Dell, Sigma, HP, Swaraj Mazda, KFC, HCL, Wockhardt, Henkel, Reliance, ICICI Bank, HT, Johnson & Johnson etc.

College Events

3

Our college conducts many Industrial visits and guest lecture sessions. Apart from this our annual Tech fest is conducted in our campus and we invite all the technical institutes to our college participation in this fest. We also participate in events conducted in other college fests. Its a great learning experience as well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible for engineering as we have to pay 58,500 per year as they also assist in getting loans for students.

Campus Life

3

Campus life is amazing, not only you will explore the academic environment but also you will be provided a platform in various other aspects like the practical aspects, since the college has a state of the art practical labs and will also encourage you to take part in co-curricular activities for your future development.

Alumni/Alumna

The college is in its early days so the alumni base is not that big. I would like to suggest that the college should try to keep a good network with its alumni.

Exam Structure

Although the college is little strict during the exam and the schedule is tight. And the University decides when to conduct exam and when to declare results.

Faculty

3.5

All the faculties have rich experience and they try to help us in every step of the way.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro, cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed. The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
