Remarks

The university was established in 1976 and it is also a Public institute which were the two major reasons I chose it for my MBA program. Kakatiya University has been given A Grade by NAAC in 2017 and the university is also approved by UGC. The major reason for KU's popularity is the nominal fee structure it has. Admissions to the MBA program in our university are based upon the entrance performance of candidates applying for the programme.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Belonging to a Management family, I got to know a good amount of things about this domain from my family and that eventually gave me the idea to pursue an MBA. The course is of 2 years and I was happy to finally get admission in Kakatiya University. The faculty, Course design, Library facilities, Seminars and even the industry talks play an important part for student's overall learning of the course.

Internships Opportunities

4

I personally don't like the concept of internships but I admit that it can be a great experience for those who want to get some exposure about corporate needs as well as the actual pressure faced in such cases. The job role quality & also stipend of Internship depend upon the student profile.

Placement Experience

4

MBA is one of the flagship programmes in this university which is why I got a good Job offer during the placement drive. The average package for the batch was INR 2.15 LPA and companies like Infosys,TCS, Aurobindo Pharma, UnitedHealth group, HCL and Infotech were present for recruitment of students from different domains. Along with MBA, other top courses during placement round were B.Tech, BCA etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The MBA programme fee at KU, Warangal is INR 28,440 which is distributed on annual Shifts of INR 14,220 among which INR 10,000 is of the tuition fee and the other INR 4,220 are academic activities charges. Students who have a Meritorious background can opt for the scholarships available in the university.

Campus Life

4.5

Our university has well built Computer labs for BCA, Laboratories for Science category and also a stacked library hall consisting books from all different domains. The university organised a number of sports and cultural events for students across the year and all regional festivals were also organised in a grand manner by the University. The Yoga centre at KU was also pretty popular among the students. The Placement cell of our university was the most popular name among the committee's.

Hostel Facilities

4

There are good hostel services at KU, Warangal and it was a major part for students from MBA programmes. Being a resident of University hostel, I got a well organised environment and we were a total of 3 students in our room. The hostel was different for both genders and the washroom, mess and electrical facilities at KU hostels were all good. Some of the students even opt for the PG facilities near the university.

Admission

Admissions to most of the courses in our university were entrance based and for my MBA programme also the score of the TSICET exam was noted by the University. Those aspiring to pursue MBA at KU must have scored at least 50% of marks in their Graduation Degree in a relevant stream.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually In degree this college was my 1st semester exam centre. The teachers who came for invigilation were cool so I applied and got the seat. I decided to take this course because I like hospital related work. Giving seminars boosts the confidence but that doesn't mean the faculty will not do their job if any student explains the topic well then from the next day it's their job to teach. The exams are average not too hard not too easy.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is updated regularly with topics that match current technology trends. We get enough time to complete assignments and improve our understanding. Internal assessments and presentations also help in overall learning. I feel more elective subjects can be added to give students wider career options.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

To be honest the curriculum which we got to study was not at all relevant to the current real world demand of skills because there was only focus on the bookish knowledge rather than the real world challenges. We students only gained bookish knowledge and because of that we are facing so much of difficulty during graduation placements. The exams were held continuously making students so restless. Everything was good but only this.
