Remarks

I love engineering. With my rank I was getting NIT Durgapur and Iiest shibpur. I preferred NIT. Mechanical branch here is good and many scholars are graduating every year. Admission process was conducted by NTA. For selecting colleges I referred to college dunia and shiksha.

Course Curriculum Overview

I was interested in design and automobiles so I chose mechanical. Faculty members are very experienced and rich in knowledge. Faculty student ratio is 1:80. Faculties are highly qualified ranging from IITs, NITs and notable foreign universities. Most of them have valuable industry exposures. Teaching method of most professors are good except few. Few of them make it really interesting.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are good for coding branches. For core it's very less. Stipend is around 30k. Projects can be done under various college professors and from industry and other colleges also

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester. Companies like microsoft, adobe, amazon, de shaw, wells fargo, Hero, L&T, ABG, Tata etc visit every year with total offers more than 500. Highest package touches 40lpa and average stays near about 7lpa. Every year 75 percent students get placed.

College Events

Campus life is like heaven. Plenty of extra curricular activities like sports, drama, music which will keep you jolly after rigorous class hours. Excellent library facility with it being recently renovated. E learning resources are also provided. Classrooms are spacious but in summer you will have a bit of difficulty.

Fees and Financial Aid

For general students fees are sky touching. For other category students its fine. Many international colleges offer scholarships during the course. Campus jobs are good considering recent pandemic. Financial assistance is there for students who are economically backward.

Campus Life

Infrastructure is top notch. Student activity center was setup where all the activities take place. Ground, nescafe, food services are available inside the campus. Every hostel is provided with 24*7 wifi or broadband. Library is huge. Labs are also upto the mark .

Hostel Facilities

Yes I jabe opted for hostel. Hostel experience is the best one in college life. Every room has 3 students with almirah, chair and table for each of them. Registration will be done on the admission day and is a smooth process. Mess food is good .

Admission

No there have been no such activities taken place. Completely based on your rank in jee mains. Test pattern consists of 90 questions and time is 3 hours.

Handbook to carry in TIU

Likes

The faculty really impressed me. They are dedicated to their work and are really friendly
The campus looks preety good. Not a lavish infrastructure but more than enough
The best thing after the faculty is in my perspective the fests of TIU. Its too much fun to be a part of it

Dislikes

As a BBA LLB Student our campus is different that makes a point of disliking
In my course frequent exams are very necessary this is something I dislike but I think it's very important for my curriculum
There is not much ragging culture in our college but sometimes you may have some bad indirections with the seniors but its fully on your hands how to act and how to form a friendly group of yours

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I am a student of BBA LLB. Tab management subjects makes a mess for me there are 7 subjects in management which I think doesn't have any applications in the real world and its like I heavy load to us in our curriculum but in speaking of the law subjects there are hard subjects but frequency in the timings of the classes make it very easy and allows us to perform well in the exams

Its our lovely college TIU

Likes

The faculty are well taught and the campus is very beautiful . The buildings are like newly bulid . and the campus is very clean.
In our branch the boys and girls ratio is almost 16:11.
The senior behave like a friend and they help us a lot and they also very supportive.

Dislikes

The college campus is too small compare to other colleges.
The college classes are not regularly held and the attendance system is not very good.
The classes are very boing and sometime it feels like aa school and the labs are not held timely.

Placement Experience:

our college average package is 600000 per Anum and highest package is 1800000 per Anum according to recent data. and 80% of student got placed . And wipro , windows, tcs , siemens , tata like companies come to our college for placement. Core students are also got placed but many of them goes for hihger studies.

Likes

One of the best things about my college is all the classrooms and labs are fully air conditioned. The classrooms, labs and even the toilets are cleaned regularly, which really helps to create a comfortable learning environment.
All the clubs of the college remain active all the time no matter whether it's technical clubs or fest related clubs like fun events domain, etc.
The most important thing is that the college is entirely ragging -free. College also maintains a healthy girls to boys ratio.

Dislikes

The classrooms are quite compact compared to the number of students in each class . At times it feels overcrowded and a bit uncomfortable during lectures.
Some of the faculty members are relatively inexperienced. It often feels like they don't have full command over the subject they're teaching, which can affect the overall understanding of important concepts.
Another issue I've noticed is the irregularity in certain subject classes. Not all subjects are taught consistently every semester , and there are high chances of some classes getting missed or not scheduled properly.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible to sit for placements form 7 th semester that is from the beginning of final year. Usually the service based companies come here with cgpa criteria and offer jobs to students.

The Techno Experience

Likes

Practical Exposure with hands on training is always good for personal growth
The laboratories were well equipped with state of the art instruments
Entrepreneurship was encouraged and it really helped us with designing future start ups.

Dislikes

Lack of scholarships for the needy is one thing that needed to be worked on.
There was a distinct lack of encouragement to pursue extracurricular activity.
Sometimes it felt like it would have helped if we had a mental health counsellor onboard with the department.

Placement Experience:

Techno India University has a strong campus placement. Several students got jobs during the last semester, and I am one of them. Some others choose to wait for better opportunities. Some joined good startups. The package was nominal as we were all freshers. After getting my degree, I planned to pursue corporate experience and then join a lab for my PhD.

My experience about techno

Likes

Ragging free campus. Strict action are taken against those who found guilty.
Classrooms are well equipped and are spacious.
There are many fun events that happen in the college

Dislikes

The campus area is too small. The library is not good
The societies are fully controlled by students so huge partiality goes on.
Some of the teachers are mean and are not good.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year onwards , students become eligible for internships and stepping in 4th yr , students get eligible for campus placement. Techno provides decent campus placements according to your marks. Good marks also with skills get you better salary. Minimum 7.5 cgpa is mandatory to have you sit for campus placements. The lowest package is 3.4 LPA and highest vary but students also get 14LPA easily. Wipro, tcs ,cap ,gemini, amazon , ibm etc.

An overall experience of college

Likes

The faculty of the college is too good and they are well educated.
The library of the college is too good it contains all the books required by the students.
Infrastructure of the college is very nice it looks very nice and pretty and very big.

Dislikes

The campus of the college is too small it needs to be a bit big for such a huge amount of students.
The college doesn't have any canteen and I feel it needs to build a canteen in it.

Placement Experience:

The placements of the college is average. Many well known companies do come for campusing like Infosys, Wipro, TCS etc. They offer an average package of 200000 LPA. The highest package is around 600000 LPA. Percentage of students getting placement is 45% My plan after getting the degree is pursuing MBA..

Experienced Faculty-students often appreciate a good blend of practical and theoretical knowledge.Faculty members in some department are often known for thier excelence knowledge and experience
Excelent Campus-techno india university has a large campus with excelent facilities such as libraries,labs,seminar halls etc. Some students finds this facilitries useful
Funs and Events-techno india university provides a vibrant campus life with events that span a wide range of interests

Dislikes

Time Management-the one thing that I disliked was their time management.They dont provide a proper shedule for exams,routines etc
Teaching Methods-some students feels that cirtain teaching methods(like a focus on lecture without without interactive learning or industry exposure) must be improved
Placement-techno india university does prepares thier students for placement they only give them the opportunity

Elegibility for placement-Generally students become elligible for campus placement in their 7th semester or 8th semester and there might be some prerequisties such as minimum CGPA must be 6-7 with no bachlogs Internship and pre-placement offers-many companies offer internships during the 6th semester or 7th semester and successful interns may receive pre-placement offers if their performance is good. Companies that visits campus: TCS Accenture Cognizent Infosys Wipro Capgemini Deloite Byjus Tech Mahindra Placement Percentage-On average 80%-90% of students may secure jobs through campus placements.However this numbers could vary across different departments and specialization Highest and average package-The highest salary offered at Techno India University was 24 LPA and the average salary was 4-5 LPA. Plans after getting the degree: My plans depends on placement.If I get a job of around 15 LPA then I will not do master degree and if I get job of around 4-5 LPA then I will do master for further great opportunities

I applied for multiple NITs During Josaa Counselling but my top 5 suitable choice according to my home location and considering other limiting factors was NIT Rourkela, NIT Silchar, NIT Durgapur, NIT Patna and IIEST Shibpur. Apart from these, I have also Applied for Calcutta University and Jadavpur University. I have got approval from NIT DGP,Calcutta University and Jadavpur University. But I have chosen NIT because of better Placement records and better campus Life. Moreover it's an Institution of of National Importance and Hold a good NIRF rank. So I preferred this choice above others. I wasn't rejected from the above colleges, but simply i didn't get the eligible rank for them. And the 3 which I got, i choosed the best among them. The Admission process of NIT DGP was through Josaa and CSAB counselling. The College and the Branch will be alloted to you according to your rank in the JEE MAINS Examination. The Closing rank of this exam in 2025 of General Category for the lowest Branch in BTech is 63387. The overall admission process for the college, apart from hostel allotment, was completely online. 14-15 documents were to be submitted in pdf format in the specific website provided. I think this was the best college onmy rank. NIT DURGAPUR - A Detailed Breakdown

I applied for GURU GHASIDAS UNIVERSITY, BILASPUR (a GFTI in chattishgarh) and i got an secured seat in the CSE department too of that college too in my 2nd round of JOSAA councelling but in the CSAB round 1 i got a seat in NIT Durgapur in the Biotechnology department. I was a NEET aspirant but due to scam of NEET 2024 i was unable to get a good rank and secure a good government medical college and i was passionate about biology from my childhood so i chose Biotechnology and obviously an NIT is far more better than any GFTI be it in terms of placement, infrastructure, environment or any other things. I applied for some higher prioritized brances too in my choice filling but due to poor rank i wasn't able to secure a seat there. Students get seats in NIT(s), IIIT(s) and in GFTI (s) through JOSAA (a counselling process of 5 rounds) and CSAB (a counselling process of 2 rounds) and in IIT (s) through JOSAA counselling only. Students secure their desired seats based on their merits with the rank that they obtained in their JEE Mains exams and JEE ADVANCED (for IIT ) although admission is based on ranks but the authority have criterias like you have to score 75% marks in maths ,physics and chemistry in your Boards exams or you should be among top 20 percentile students of your class 12th board exams there is a separate process of admission too for the foreign students and NRI students althogh the fees structure is very high for their courses.The overall counselling process was good and seamless but after allotment of the college, the document verification and fees submission process is a little hectic....Read More
