Remarks

Good and experienced teachers and a skilled TAP cell along with several programmes for developing skill and knowledge. Our seniors are very helpful and provide us a lot of guidance in career based options and help us choose the best part. The college frequently holds meetings and interactive interviews with successful alumni as well as people who have qualified in a successful career. The student council is very active and takes decisions on a wide scale and helps uplifting the student community.

Course Curriculum Overview

We have only 2 courses - B.Tech in CSE and ECE and other than that we have Ph.D and M.Tech courses too. The faculty is experienced and is very qualified as most of them hold Ph.D and M.Tech degrees from qualified institutions including IITs and NITs. We have teachers from IIM too for teaching us management subjects. The exams and assignments are very frequent and are a bit tough but still most students pass the exams with flying colours.

Internships Opportunities

I being in first year haven't yet applied for an internship. But the TAP cell provides opportunities to get interships with or without stipends. We can apply for internships otherwise on our own accord too.

Placement Experience

The placement opportunities are medium to good. The placements in the CSE field are very good with an average of 8-9 LPA. The ECE field falls behind in terms of placement but are improving every year. We have alumni who got placed in international MNCs from Japan, Spain and France. A few students get salaries as high as 20LPA.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is a bit hight. Approx 13500 Rupees for a semester including hostel and mess fee. Scholarships can be applied for as per government norms. Internships are available, the TAP cell works hard for gaining interest of companies and attracting good companies. Intenships with or without stipends are both available according to students capability.

Campus Life

Due to online mode because of corona, we haven't been able to visit the campus. We are assuming the college is very lively and the campus life will be fun. A new, larger campus is being constructed currently.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is provided by the college itself. Charges 30500 rupees for accommodation plus mess. The quality of food,living and etc isn't yet known because of the classes being held online. The seniors have stated that the quality if good.

Admission

The admission to B.Tech is solely on the basis of the Joint Entrance Examination-Mains results. M.Tech and Ph.D courses have their own criteria. You need to apply for counselling process after JEE to apply for the institute.

Campus location is good but there is shortage of shops.
Professor are good and supportive and you can keep bike sk questions whenever you needed.

Dislikes

Mess food is not so good and if you taking hostel it is compulsory to take mess
Transpotation facility is not so good and you

Placement Experience:

From third semester students are allowed for internship and about the placement is about 5 to 6 lpa .Many students here are preparing for government exam like gate ,ies isro ,barc etc. And if you are not satisfied by placement from campus you can try off campus.

At the starting phase of college , we have a beautiful campus (which is not ours actually , its on rent ) loacted at Namkum, Ranchi. known as JUT campus, but after that things are not good.
Some what I liked the sports culture, but we don't have any sports Club yet.

Dislikes

Placements(actually there are students who are the coordinators for the placement group , there is no any particular advisor or any TPO head is there earlier...now there is one TPO coordinator but things are becoming worst there.
No grounds for any sports, we don't have badminton court indoors, so we have to wait for wind to settle before we can play outside.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually my branch is Electronics and communication engineering but my major interest lies in development area , i have gained all the skills in my college by my own taking some guidance from the seniors as they are very helpful and supporting. Improvements in course curriculum could be like they have to basically add one more course or any training program to help students for making skills and teaching them for their placements.(apart of the course , i am saying not because i am from ECE department , its common from any branch student)

Likes

I like their rules and regulation of college.
I like the annual sports, event, and cultural program.
Regular classes, labs, and time to time internal exams

Dislikes

Thing that I don't like is hostal cleaning, mesh food.
I think there is more rules and regulation for senior boys hostels.
From senior boys hostel they pass some comment to the girls

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course is the proper mindset from the class I chose to study btech. The areas for improvement in the course curriculum are more labs to be conducted proper smart classes to be held.

Placement statistics In 2024, the highest package offered at BIT Mesra was around INR 52 LPA. The average package offered in 2024 was around INR 17.5 LPA for BTech CSE, INR 16 LPA for ECE, and INR 11.5 LPA for EEE. The placement rate in 2024 was 75% for CSE, 60% for ECE, and 69% for EEE.

Infrastructure of the University is good enough and also going on for new building
Labs and machineries are updated and in good condition.
Non teaching staffs are helpful and genuine.

Dislikes

Administration make fake promises and discontinue.
Some staffs are egoistic don't think of any one.
Canteen food prices are not affordable. It is too expensive for middle class students.

Good university for those who want degree only not job as they will say 100 percent placement but never make their promises and yes they will also send you in depression so be strong and believe in your self.

Likes

the greenery of college campus is very nice
the environment of the college is very good
college library staffs are very well behaved

Dislikes

the faculty is not up to the mark , u will not be satisfied by their teaching
student intake is very very less so you will experience less competition
the college campus is beautiful yet very small

Placement Experience:

yes campus placement is offered . the average package is about 7 to 8 lakhs in C.S.E , the placement rate is about 90% for which above 7.5 CGPA is required . The placement rate for E.C.E and E.E.E are also decent .

Experience of an undergrad

Likes

college have great environment good facilities needed as per requirements ,college also have good spacious hostels and we can say better food comparing to what i heard from friends of different colleges ,the evening time is soothing and relaxing
a great senior junior interaction culture and memorable friendships letting you forget the world outside the campus, every festivals are celebrated with joy and fun ,from leaving a family to moving to another one you would love.
some of lectures are quite boring but some will amaze you with visionary thoughts ,every faculty will guide you if they see you lagging behind the course ,some extra sessions are also conducted, introducing new fields to think out of the box

Dislikes

things which i wish might get some improvements are sports facilities big grounds for sports activities students encouragement towards co-curricular activitiy, co-curricular activities get more support to come out with glorious and imagining skills.
fests do contain fun but due to time constraints before fests planning of amazing activities becomes difficult thus leading same things going on repeating, absence of good team leaders leading activities plays major role in activity failure and bored
night out time is a small problem, the area close to college is developing hence not having nearby much places for fun and chillouts spending your free time relaxing.

Placement Experience:

The placements in the college is average as during 2023-24 it was recession period all over the colleges are facing placements lags but still college students managed to achieve 22 lakhs+ off campus as well as 16 lakhs on campus placement.The college reached his highest placement of 51 lakh during 2023 ,the average package is 5-6 lakh and the placements percentage are 85 percent for cse students,the students completing 7th semester are eligible for on campus placement drive as well as off campus,some of the prominent companies visited are Microsoft, cognizant, samsung, byjus,infosys and 50 more.I will prepare for gate and after that i will try to get on and off campus placements which i will find better accept the offer.
