Remarks
Uttaranchal University admits students for MBA based on the CAT/XAT/GMAT scores. I also had to attend a GD/PI as the second round. The final decision on admission is made based on the performance in the interview. The placement percentages at Uttaranchal University were quite high, so that is why I chose to apply.
Course Curriculum Overview
The main aim of the course is to give the students a well-rounded idea of the field of business and management. MBA here is two year program and we had four semesters. The specializations offered include Hospital Management, Retail, HR, Marketing among others. Our faculty was highly qualified and they were all very helpful.
Placement Experience
Placements at Uttaranchal are good. We can apply for recruitment starting the second year of the course. Many companies like Wipro, Byjus and Amazon recruit from Uttaranchal University. Average package offered is 3 LPA and the highest is 10 LPA. About 85% students generally gets placed during the campus recruitment.
Fees and Financial Aid
Uttaranchal University charges 77000 as tuition fee each semester. Scholarships were given to students who have scored more than 70% in the qualifying examination. There are many other scholarship schemes that offer financial help to students who come from economically weaker section.
Campus Life
We had a very diverse student community and multiple cultural programs and sports events are conducted every year. Our library, computer lab, labs and other infrastructures are also of good quality. We also had many societies and clubs like Student Welfare Club, Literary Club and debate group. We also visited other colleges for several competitions.
Hostel Facilities
We had hostel accommodations available. The rent varies from 64000 to 40000. It is based on the facilities and the number of students sharing the room. Rooms can be both single and shared. The food in the mess is good quality. It might not be anything special, but is clean and hygienic.
