Remarks

Eligibility criteria are simply like any other college admission process. Just apply in JoSSA and fill out the college names as per your rank and requirement. This is the most crucial step if you ask me, I made a mistake while choosing filling by not numbering the colleges that I desired the most. Also, remember to fill every college if you have zero expectations that you'll get a seat there because there is no limit in the choice filling. I already got this college in my 3rd round in JoSSA counseling but I was waiting for any improvement in my next round so I chose the 'slide' option while I did my document verification in my nearest NIT which is VNIT, Nagpur. But sadly, didn't get any NIT, so then I opted for CSAB in which your AIR rank is used to determine the college you'll get and again I got this same college (feels like this was written in my destiny) Anything regarding this college can be found on their official website:- www.nitsri.ac.in

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Chose this course because this was the one I filled and got too. Also, this course is the best highlight of NIT, Srinagar. Faculties are great supportive. They'll help you out with everything if you are seeking help. I only gave my 1st sem paper in my college the rest of all semesters were in online mode due to covid-19. The paper difficulty level was moderate: not that easy but not that hard too. Faculty members are nicely qualified and their teaching method is also very interactive.

Internships Opportunities

3

Our batch was not present in the college due to lockdown and all so didn't know how our college used to work for internships and all. Everything was online so no idea about that. But in the world of technology, students can get internships from a variety of websites and apps. Just need that right motivation to go on.

Placement Experience

4.5

Mostly during the 3rd year 6th sem, students are eligible for campus placement. Many companies visit colleges during campus placement. It can also be made clear from the college's official website. Recently the last year's placement report was great. Just check out the website once and you'll be amazed by the results. After getting the degree I'll see if I got placed. Also even after getting placed, I'll give the GATE exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee Structure can be understood by visiting their official website which is www.nitsri.ac.in I got a reservation so I only need to pay for my mess and hostel fees which is a considerable amount. But if you Belong to any other caste then you'll get a fee waiver only if your income is below 5 l.p.a ( during my time this was the limit) else you need to pay the course fees too. For on-campus internships, some companies do come and give you demos for eg. Cetpa-infotech.

Campus Life

4.5

Sorry about the fest and all because I didn't get to notice any due to corona but the college clubs do organize competitions like coding, elocution, speech writing, etc. To develop the other skills of students. The library is filled with books. I mean that's why it is called the library. NIT, Srinagar has a vast library with a variety of books as per your need. It also has a space where you can engage yourself with your studies. Also, there is internet connectivity available so that you can access it in the library. There are many clubs in the college of which any student can be a part of any club as according to him/her.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel rooms will have great illuminance light, study table, beds, cupboard. The rest of the things you need to buy according to your need/requirement. Meal quality is better not to say anything about it what can you expect from the mess food, everywhere the same thing. Registration is quite simple. Just fill out the form. Pay the fees and you are all good to go.

Students become eligible for campus placements in 8th semester. Companies like L&T construction, Ambuja cement, tata , wipro, jio , Berger, infosys, IBM and many more visit the college. Highest package is around 17 LPA and average package is around 5 LPA . Almost 30 percent students get placement. My plan is to get off campus placement.

The placement of our college is Average and the students are eligible in 7 semester for placement. If the student has any backlog in any of the semester they can't sit in the college placement and also it has minimum criteria of 6.5 cgpa. The percentage of students getting placement is very low sadly

The positive of this college is that the environment is academic friendly and there is a level of strictness maintained by the college authorities. Lack of modern infrastructure and absence of various general and academic facilities hampers the ideal college life of balancing the knowledge and enjoying the college time.
