A blissful experience of college life.

Everything is good just that the stipend is not credited on time which causes inconvinience the office staffs in the academic section are real pricks.

GATE 2012 exam got 94 percentile this is the best college in Delhi after IITD chose environmental engineering here because it was a subject of intrest and is currently a very hot field in research and development. Also faculty is well experienced and they have good lab facilities anywhere you go, if you tell them you are an alumni of DCE/DTU, it is a proud moment.

Course curriculum was generic with labs and project work first year was mainly theoretical with 2 labs a week second year was mostly practical with project and thesis.

In M.Tech companies were mainly college faculty based with few business analyst companies as well for our department. However in general the placement offered is generally good. DCE name is usually in headlines for grabbing the highest package. Stipend offered was 8000 per month during my mtech period it is now increased to 12000.

Placement is good almost every student was placed as college faculties. Rest went for govt job like in cpwd, upsc, state psc etc highest package offered for teaching was by IP university at 45000 per month initially.

College has a number of events name i have already forgotten they have this huge amphitheater at the heart of the campus where they hold this event. Freshers and farewell are famous followed by college fest in general. Other than that the departments hold their own technical fest as well many celebrities visit the campus during these fest.

Fee was pretty cheap before i joined and was hiked during my admission it rose from 12000 to 60000. Heard its near a lakh now so fee is expensive there is a security deposit which is refundable. More or less the stipend takes care of the fee its the overhead charges that is worrying dont remember the exact fee structure as its over 2 years now.

Gender ratio is a thumbs up (delhi campus afterall) hostel parties not there but night outs are a way of life workshops are in plenty for the geeks cultural society is same as above tolerance why are we even discussing this there is no riots and complete peace.

Didnt stay in hostel but food was great nothing much to say other than that. However the hostels cant accomodate every student those with qouta or farthest distance get preference. Why does this survey need essay for everything pretty irritating.

Exam days are as they are supposed to be they inform in advance and moods depend on person rather than university.

Faculty is well experienced and highly qualified all have long teaching experience and many are UGC appointed. Every professor was a PhD holder in the relevant field from premier institute (Mainly IITs).
