Remarks

As I got a good cutoff in 12th. I opt for counseling through engineering college and I chose three to four colleges for my priority...due to available seats and cut off marks, I got selected in SRM valliammai enginnering college.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose computer science and engineering because I have studied CSE group in higher secondary and I want to go in IT side I chose CSE. faculty is good enough to interact with students and we got 3months to one semester and 1 month for internals.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 52500 per year

Internships Opportunities

Cognizant offered an assistant software Engineer role and an intern for 3 months stipend of about 12000 per month I have done a project in stockmarket prediction and it really helped me to understand the process while working on it

Placement Experience

From the 6th semester, every student can apply for placements. Companies like Accenture, cognizant, Wipro, Infosys, etc like almost 50 companies. The highest package we got is 10lpa and an average is 3lpa 99% of students always get into placement every year. I'm going to work in IT sector and after 2yrs I'll pursue a higher degree

Fees and Financial Aid

Actually, one-course fee is about 1lakhs but I opted for the first graduation and counseling my fees structure is reduced to 53,000 ...this for one semester I have to pay 53000 And exclusive od sem fees we got exam paper fees extracurricular membership fee, etc

Campus Life

We got cyborgs for the computer science department..each department got a fest for an annual year, we got big one floor of the library which got everything like journals books, etc coming to sports we got inter-college sports activities. Mentioning some clubs available in my college is computer society of India, NCC.

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.

I applied to Chennai Institute of technology where the fee structure was enormously high. Ehere as the SRM valliammai has good infrastructure and also the fee was reasonable. No, i didn't get rejection from Chennai Institute of technology. But i got impressed when i went for visiting SRM valliammai as one of my college hunt. SRM valliammai offers both government quota and also admission directly to the college. I went through government quota. So to apply SRM on should be completed 12th grade with reasonable percentage.
