NIT Jamshedpur, M.Tech, Computer Science And Engineering

Reviewed on Feb 24, 2022(Enrolled 2019)

Remarks

NIT Jamshedpur is still a developing university, which is knows for it's excellent science and engineering courses. Bypassing the GATE exam with a decent score, we can get admission in NIT Jamshedpur for the M.Tech. degree. Admission to all Mtech programmes is based on the GATE score. I scored a decent score in GATE and therefore was able to get admission here.

Course Curriculum Overview

M.Tech in CSE, and we all know how broad CSE is, so you can go wherever you want. The course curriculum was created with the needs of the industry as well as research in mind. If you're studying core computer science, you'll have a lot of options for research.

Course Fees: INR 306000 per year

Placement Experience

For all fields of M.Tech., placement is fantastic. There are numerous opportunities for it individuals. CSE is better for M.Tech placement than other branches. There are some PSUs, such as BPCL, that come here for CSE people, and I believe this is one of the best points. The maximum number of students get placed on campus at the university by high profile companies with decent packages.

Fees and Financial Aid

The master's fee structure for every semester is 76,500. The fee structure seems to be quite feasible, anyhow it was affordable for me so j didn't go for any financial aid or scholarship. Because our college campus has a State Bank of India branch, students can obtain an education loan from the bank. College provides a stipend of 12400/- per month for postgraduate students and 31000/- per month for Ph. D. students.

Campus Life

NIT Jamshedpuris is known for its extracurricular activities. In the hostel's common room, students celebrate the birthdays of their cohort. For extracurricular activities, the college hosts a number of technical fests.

Good security system, a well established laboratory. We need much security outside of the campus as we are at a unknown place with unknown peoples.

Life at NIT JAMSHEDPUR

I also got Birla institute of technology Mishra college Ranchi, but because of very high fees I choosed National institute of technology Jamshedpur. Apart from that nit jamshedpur have a good placement record as compared to other colleges that I was getting and it has a little bit of low fees as compared to other private colleges. I wanted to go on IIT Delhi but I what rejected in JEE advanced exam. Apart from this I was selected for any other colleges. And for taking admission in my college a student have to qualify JEE mains exam with good percentile. Then they have to fill jossa counselling for getting admission into colleges where you have to choose NIT Jamshedpur as first preference or an any other college that you want as first preference. Also you have to secure 75% in 12th board of CBSE board students. Otherwise even if you get good percentile in JEE exam still you won't be able to join any NIT college of India. The minimum percentile for getting here is about 97.5 percentile for general student and 96% tile for OBC students...Read More
