Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is well updated and according to the new technology. Teachers here are well educated and always help weak students in their studies. There are a total of 92 students in our class. The exam's difficulty level is also easy not too hard.

Internships Opportunities

Various companies like Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, TCS, TCS ninja provides various placement offers to our college students. Many students of our college go for higher studies, others go for government sector jobs.

Placement Experience

After completing the course, you are eligible for campus placements in the eighth semester. You should have good skills in computer science subjects to get a good placement opportunity. The average package provided here is 3.5lpa and the highest package is 6lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

Half fee concession and full fee concession is provided to the poor students. Fee concession is also available to the handicapped students. Reservation for sc and st students is also provided in our college.

Campus Life

Bhai Gurdas library is available in our college to provide books to the students. Four books are allotted to each student for minimum 20 days and then you have to return the books in time. Tech fest is also conducted in our college.

Hostel Facilities

Facilities provided in our college are average that is not so good. The quality of food here is not good. For registration of hostel, you need to visit the college official department. Overall the college hostel area is so neat and clean. The campus is peaceful.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
