If college life and placements is what you look for, DTU is your place.

You have to achieve a good rank in JEE Mains exam in order to get admission into this college. If you are a general Delhi candidate, aim to get under 10k in JEE Mains to get tech branch. Cut off for outside Delhi candidates go really high as there is reservation of 85% seats to Delhi candidates. It takes admission by JAC D channel. Admission process usually takes place in several rounds. Admission process is not hectic. Its completely online and transparent.

I am currently admitted in Information Technology branch at DTU. I opted this branch just because of excellent placement opportunities. In this year, my batch strength is of 75. Faculties are highly qualified, very friendly but you might find a problem in understanding their lectures as they are still using old technology to teach, board and marker/ chalk. But professors here are chill. Exams occur at pre-decided schedule. CCE method was adopted in online curriculum but since college is in offline mode again, so they might dis regard CCE pattern and again introduce Mid-Term and End-Term exams. Exams are moderately difficult. But if you are consistent enough, you would find it easy to get passed.

After 2nd year, students are eligible for internships. In campus opportunities for internships are good but there is huge competition for that as there is immense crowd at DTU. Grabbing a good internship is a bit difficult as they ask for 9+ CGPA in order to lower no. of candidates sitting for internships. All major companies come here, Highest stipend is given by sprinkler, i.e 1.5L per month. Stipend ranges from 30k to 1.5L per month. There are huge chances to convert internships into PPO's.

From 4th semester, students become eligible for internships. Some 300+ companies visit DTU every year for recruitment. Almost all the major tech giants come here, example Amazon, Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Flipkart, Paytm, De-Shaw, Code Nation etc. Highest domestic package is 68LPA and Highest foreign package is 1.5 CR. Average package in tech branches is approx 15 LPA and at core branches it is 10LPA. Almost all students at Tech branches get placed, however placements at Core branches are not that great. I want a good placement from this college.

However, fees of DTU is high (more than 2L per Year), but scholarships and financial aid is provided both by Delhi Govt. and DTU to the financially challanged students. Fees increase 10% every year. Scholarship name is Merit-Cum-Means, which is provided by government.

The annual fest is - ENGIFEST, which is quite famous in North India. It usually occurs in Feb-March. Several other fests are conducted across the year. If you want to enjoy your college life then DTU is the place where you should be. There is a massive central library where you can find almost all books and journals. Classrooms are modern equipped. Sports facilities at DTU are great. There is annual sports meet. There are various famous societies at DTU. To name a few, Madhurima, Kalakriti, Pratibimb, Cultural Council, Yuvaan etc.
