If you want great placement, work hard and get tech branch at DTU

Admission to DTU is on the basis of your JEE Mains scores. In order to get admission in tech branches (COE, IT, Software Engineering, MCE), you need to have rank of approx 10k, if you are general Delhi candidate. However, cutoff for outside Delhi candidates go whopping high. So chears if you have completed class 12th from Delhi. For admissions, you have to fill JAC D form which is out after the results of JEE Mains are declared. Admission process is very long, as per me, it should be shorten.

I choose this course because I wanted college life and excellent placement opportunities batvthe same time. There are about 75 students in my batch. In my first semester, I am having 8 subjects. Professors are highly qualified. They are friendly in nature and don't overburden us. At DTU, things are quite easy. I would agree that most of the professors are aged and adopt that old teaching style but it's good. Exams are held timely as decided by department. It's easy to pass examinations. So, don't worry.

Internships opportunities are really great at DTU. However, it is really tough to get a good internsip as crowd at DTU is massive. But, if you have covered DSA+ Machine Learning and Competitive Coding, then it might be easy for you to find internships. Stipend ranges from 30k- 2L per month. Almost all big companies come here for internships. Chances of conversion of Internship into PPO is high, so good luck.

From 5th semester, students are eligible to sit for internships. Almost all tech giants come at DTU for recruitment. Highest package in domestic this year was 68 LPA and average package for tech branches is 15 LPA. For non tech branches, it is 10LPA. In tech branches almost all students who sit for placement get placed. Things are a bit worrysome for non tech branch. I want nice placement from here so that I can support my family.

Fees at DTU is high. It is something around 9L for four years excluding hostel/mess and other charges. Several scholarships are provided by both Delhi Government and DTU to help the financially unstable students. One such scheme is Merit-Cum-Means which is provided by Government.

Annual fest name is- "Engifest", which is one of the most famous fests in North India. Several top class artists perform in that event. It generally occurs in Feb-March month but due to covid this time, it would be shifted to April-May. We have a massive Central Library, in which all books, magazines, journals, newspapers and research papers are available. Classrooms are well equipped with modern equipments. Sports facilities are really nice, for each sport you would find a court. DTU spend a huge sum of money on sports. There are several famous societies at DTU. Try to be a part of it, in your first two years. If campus life is your priority, then DTU is your place.
