Remarks

My college is afflicted with Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. It conducts a common entrance examination for various courses. Thousands of people from different states give this examination. If an individual clears her/his exam they get the offer letter (which does not insure individuals admission), it's a long procedure of selection. After that, verification of documents is done, and according to individual merit marks, college is allotted. Furry formalities have to be fulfilled. I am in BA Social Science (political science honours). Its fee is 9000 (normal fee), 10000+ regular fee- 19000 (paid seat). A different % of reservations has been done. Forex: 10% for EWS.

Course Curriculum Overview

As I want to pursue llb for my further studies, BA Social Science would definitely help me out. My combination is Political Science (h). PSYCHOLOGY. Sociology as my subsidiary subject, History as my ancillary subject and Hindi as my language. The faculty is very good and helpful, people and teachers are very cooperative. Everyone is ready to help each other. The faculty is amazing, and everyone is very cool about everything. Teachers are highly qualified in their field, graduates of various big universities. Terms are taken timely.

Internships Opportunities

Internships are given in the form of NGOs and social service platforms. Different kinds of opportunities are given to children. And yes children get certificates that would help to enhance ones resume. A certificate from a good place would definitely help you more than money

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is really less and more affordable. It can be afforded by any section of society in my view. My course fee is 9000 p.a. Talking about scholarships, our college does offer various scholarships for everyone and give equal opportunity to participate in the scholarship program.

Campus Life

Life at the campus is amazing. It has a really beautiful infrastructure and it is really peaceful. It has a ghat view. Greenary is amazing, it has approx everything, sports room, library, and even museum in it. Isn't that amazing? And above all, it has an open classroom facility. It provides you with a sense of a safe environment around. All around I would say ITS JUST AMAZING! Our college also provide various kind of opportunities to do social work. NCC and NSS is one of the most important program that our college participate in it. It also take us to trips.

Great learning environment, experienced faculty, and value for money education.

Likes

The faculty members are very supportive, highly experienced, and always ready to help students with their queries.
The course fee is extremely affordable and provides great value for money for students in this region.
The campus has a peaceful learning environment with a good gender ratio of around 1:1 for boys and girls.

Dislikes

On-campus placement opportunities are limited, and students mostly need to look for off-campus jobs.
Campus infrastructure needs modernization, including better Wi-Fi access and updated lab equipment.
More practical exposure and industry-oriented training programs should be added to the curriculum.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it covers all essential topics required for higher studies. The curriculum is detailed and helps build strong subject basics. Teaching methods are traditional, so adding more interactive sessions and skill-based learning would be a great improvement. Exams take place every semester along with internal class tests, which helps in continuous evaluation without extra stress

Our curriculum is Industry oriented which includes academic as well as practical learning.
Our college conducted regular workshops, seminars and guest lectures by media professionals.
Experienced and supportive faculty members. All teachers are approachable and provide personal guidance.

A Balanced Review of My College Journey

Likes

The college regularly organizes seminars, cultural events, and technical activities, helping students improve their confidence and skills.
The library, computer labs, and classrooms are well-maintained, providing a good environment for learning.
The teachers are experienced and explain concepts clearly. They are approachable and supportive whenever students need guidance.

Dislikes

Some practical sessions need better equipment and more hands-on training to match industry needs.

Placement Experience:

Placements in our College are decent. Students become eligible from the 5th/6th semester, and companies from media, PR, and digital marketing fields visit for recruitment. The placement cell also provides training, internships, and guidance. After graduation, I plan to explore both campus and off-campus opportunities in media and communication fields.

Timings are perfect and we enjoy the lectures as well

Canteen food the only thing I don't like about my college

They give us lots of opportunities before summer vacations in terms of internship and after the final semester of exams they take our interview and give exact amount of opportunities and don't disappoint us

Likes

The faculty of the college is very supportive and understanding
The campus is also very nice you can easily find your comfort in that campus
Classrooms have unique facilities with smart board in every class and every class room is air conditioned

Dislikes

The first thing I don't like is the college food from canteen because it doesn't not have many options
The second thing I don't like is the sports facilities in the college because there are not every sports available specially football is not available
The third i don't like when the mobile network doesn't come in the college and we face a lot of problems for this

Placement Experience:

Let me talk about the placement of this college the placements and internship facilities of this college are very good for every student who are studying in this college the famous companies such as AVP news ,Aaj Tak , the truth 24 and various news channel comes for placement and internships almost each student gets placed

Amazing

Likes

I liked the safe enviornment of the college
All the teachers are very supportive and helpful
The concepts are easily understood by the students

Dislikes

The variety of the food can be more but its not so
There are many activities which can be restricted
No fixed timing od dispersal sometimes you have to be extra time

Likes

The fees is affordable in comparison to Delhi University.
The scholarship scheme is definitely helpful for those who are economically weak.
The main campus has a central library so its quite helpful

Dislikes

The books in the central library are quite outdated
The lack of infrastructure in the affiliated colleges of AU
No merit based scholarship scheme available for the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'm from humanities background so the course is quite relevant for me. The course is quite outdated however it's the same for most of the universities. the curriculum should be aligned with the competitive exams and the teaching methods should be more inclusive about the competitive exams so that the student can prepare well not only for the present course but also further upcoming exams.

I like their distance education so that students can complete their graduation

I have applied to saheed bhagat singh college delhi . And i didn't make there because as i got College allotment in BHU and it's near my location that's why i didn't opt for that college in new delhi and went for bhu as it's a renowned university. Life at Vasanta college for Women!!

I also applied to DU but i couldnt get in because my CUET score wasn't as much as required. I chose VCW as it is affiliated with BHU which is one of the best universities in India For admission in my college you need to clear CUET and score good marks and then apply for counselling by the BHU samarth portal . After the counselling is done and you have got your seat you have to go for physical verification of documents to BHU in your respective departments. And then classes will start whenever college decides. Before the commencement of classes you will receive a admission letter from VCW and in that there will be a admission form and undertaking form for ragging. You have to fill both and take a print out and also pay a fees of 500 rupees online . Then next day you have to come to college and submit the admission form and undertaking and also your TC and character certificate from school . You will again have to pay 500 in cash .
