Remarks

The eligibility of the course is you will have to be complete 10+2 with PCM or PCMB. The application form, fees and application dates will be found on the college portal and reservation benefits also find in the portal, No improvement is needed.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I choose this course because I like to work on a computer that helps me to work less physically and most demanding in nowadays and easy to get the job in future. The ratio is quite good for this course. They are well qualified and have good teaching skills except for some newly appointed. The exams are very timely in this covid crisis too and it is quite tough to pass the exam.

Placement Experience

4

7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like; Wipro, Infosys, HIKEEDU, BYJUS, TCS, etc and all of them made more than 15-20 offers. The highest is 10 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA and the average is 6 LPA. More than 40-50% get placement. My plan after getting the degree is to work abroad.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is good including academic and hostel fees. But due to covid crisis and price hike in other stuff like diesel, petrol, etc makes changes in hostel fees. There are lots of scholarships to avail by the students for different states and backward class students. This year I have applied for the PMS scholarship in Bihar.

Campus Life

3.5

The annual fest called VIBGYOR is conducted in the month of February. Most of the books from the courses are available in the library. Amenities in the classroom, it is fully AC, Comfortable bench, Projector and a very big sketch board. Separate space for Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Football, etc and also make us take place in many extracurricular activities. Robot Roy's is managed by students.

Hostel Facilities

4

The facilities provided in the room depend on the fees structure, but all the rooms are big and hygienic and separate space for the stuffs. The meal is not good. You can register through online or offline both. Deon is the locality where you will get PG.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
