Technical University:- My dream

The admission process is of two types. One is through your jee main scorecard and another is through lateral entry for diploma, polytechnic or iti student. 1. If you have appeared in Jee exam then you are eligible to apply for this otherwise only through lateral entry. After your jee result is published, Bihar govt. On behalf of Bcece board will invite applications through its website to fill out the form for engineering college. The cost of the form is approx 750. After that merit list will be published and you will be able to get your college which you have selected in preference according to jee main number. Yes, you will also avail your reservation benefit and along with that girls candidate are given more priority than boys. In the lateral entry, you have to do a diploma or iti or any course equivalent to that, and after taking bcece exam you will get entry in your desired college from the 2nd year or 3rd semester onwards. I will not want to see any improvement in this admission process.

I have interest in civil branch so I have decided to choose this as there is a lot of govt. Job in this sector. The course curriculum is quite relevant and you will enjoy this. Faculty student ratio is almost 1:60 and during the induction program, it went up to 1:170. Faculty are very well qualified and they all are very knowledgeable. They all have done P.hd and some of them have also done other courses of their personal course from some of the top international universities. Our HOD has done a 3 month course at Yale University. All the faculty are always ready to help you, whenever you will approach them. Some of the professors also organise a special class after college hours for those students who have faced some difficulties during course time. Their style of teaching is very good and they always like to teach in such a way that you will understand it in one go. Terms exams happen timely and if you have prepared your subject, you will surely crack the exam with flying colours.

Internships are provided to many students according to their capabilities. Some of the companies which have given internships are Larsen and Turbo, Sony India, Samsung India, Tata Motors, NTPC, Dmrc, power grid corporation, coal India limited, Indian railways and many more PSUs and private companies. All are paid, interns. You will be paid for your internship along with your logistics costs. I have not opted for an internship, so I was not so much aware of it.

Placements are good in my university. From the 6th semester and onwards you are eligible to get either campus placements or pre placement offers. Larsen and Turbo and Wipro are the major companies which recruit a large no of students from our university. Along with them, Tcs, Cognizant, Dettolite, Amazon, Flipkart, Samsung, Sony, Unacademy, Byju, Aakash and many other companies have visited our university. A total of 138 offers have been made the previous year and in current year 21 -22 along with me, 91 other students have been placed with a decent package in hand. The highest package is of 14 lakh per annum which was given to a student of it department and average package which was offered till now in present year 21 - 22 is of 5 lakh per annum. 69% of students have got placed, which is so low because many of the students opted for a higher degree or some for general competition or UPSC bpsc and did not sit in the placement drive. Have not decided till.

The fees structure is like this:- Tuition fees which include everything except hostel and mess:- 50000 yearly. Total tuition fees:- 20000 for the full course. According to my knowledge, no fees hike have occurred in recent times in our university. I have been here since 2019 and no such fees hike or any possibility of a fees hike have been shown. Yes, you will be given a student credit card from the Government of Bihar, which gives you financial assistance of 400000 with no interest charged, so you will not need to spend any money from your pocket. Along with this many scholarships are also provided to needy students from Govt. Of India and Govt. Of Bihar along with some private Ngo and some private well being trust. You can also apply for many scholarship programmes through many available websites online. I have been given a job from Larsen and Turbo company on the package of 500000 per annum with an annual increment of 5 to 10 percent every year according to my work. I have also 2 more offer.

Life at the campus is very interesting as you are going to meet with different people from different cultures and different societies. You will get to learn many new things from meeting with many new people. Some of the annual fests that happen in our university are Roboto, Hackathon, Techy and many more and tech fest also happens per quarter in which students from different colleges from all over India came to participate. It is generally conducted in the month of September - October. The library is also present in the college and, everyone with a valid library pass can access it. It has many books, journals both national and international and Dvd present. It is opened 24*7 and has wifi also enabled. Classrooms are not up to the mark, but new classrooms are under construction. Many sports and extracurricular activities like inter cricket meet, all india university sports meet also happens. Saviour is a social group for blood donation, which is run by students of our university.

I have not opted for the hostel so I was not so much aware of it, but according to the information given by my classmates to me who have opted for the hostel, I will like to share it with you. Hostel and mess charge is around 40000 per year. In the 1st and 2nd year, you will be given a room on sharing basis with 3 students and 2 students respectively. From 3rd year onwards to till Post graduation hostel are allotted to every student on a single occupancy basis. Cupboards tables chairs and beds are provided in the room. Meal quality is not up to the mark, but it is ok. The menu is designed in such a way that every student from every religion and every community will surely enjoy that. Whenever you came to college for admission, you will be asked about the hostel. If you opted for it then you have to fill out a registration process and after that, you will be alloted your room. I am currently residing in kankarbagh in Patna and I have rented a room on my own.
