Remarks

Admission to DTU is done by a government body JAC (joint admission council). This body conducts online counselling through which applied students can get admission to Delhi colleges like DTU, NSUT, IIIT-D, and DSEU. It is totally an online process in which students get admission on basis of their JEE MAINS General Rank. The form for this counselling comes online on JAC official portal. These dates are usually along with JOSSAA counselling. If you are in EWS, OBC, SC, and ST then you will get admission on basis of your AIR General rank and not through category rank. But you will get relaxation on AIR rank.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

My course is MCE (mathematics and computing engineering). This course is relatively new compared to others. I have choosen this course as it is first of all a tech branch and has a lot of applications in ML and AI. Students can also go to the finance field through this branch. Faculty at DTU are highly qualified and some had completed their PhD in USA, Ireland and UK. Mostly in every class faculty v/s students ratio is 1:70. Exams will be conducted as per the faculty and administration of DTU only. Some teachers do postpone exams at the request of students.

Internships Opportunities

4

Students become eligible for internshipin in thier 4thsem of the 2nd year.Almost 200 students got internship every year. In Academic year 20-21 sprinker gave stipend of 2L/month.There is a full dedicated society for internships like E-cell .Also placement wing of DTU helps students to inhance their chance to get an internship.

Placement Experience

4.5

Almost 75% of students in DTU get placed (considering all branches).Almost 95% companies allows MCE students to sit in placement rounds amd almost 85-87% students get placed in the MCE branch with average package of 18LPA.Compines like google ,amazon ,linkedin, apple, uber, ola, flipkart, sprinkler, agrotech, Abbott and whatnot.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees of Dtu btech programme are Rs 890000 and it increases every year. many scholarships are provided by dtu itself and also it recognises many government scholarships as well. Students whose family income is less than 6L per annum get a 25% reduction in tuition fees. below 3L will get approx 40% deductions in tuition fees whereas if below 1.25L will get a 60-70% reduction in tuition fees.

Campus Life

5

The campus life of DTU is quite good. You have full freedom to do anything inside the campus just be in a disciplined manner. There are many societies in the college where you can pursue and enhance your talent and capabilities. The annual fest of DTU i.e Engifest is the 2nd biggest fest in north India after IIT-D. many students come here to participate in this 2-day event. The library is equipped with every book that you will require in engineering or for other fields as well. the infrastructure of DTU Library is of world-class level.

Other Applied Colleges

NSUT | CSAI

Because college life of DTU is more fascinating than NSUT

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

I would not suggest On Campus placement for this college as the placement cell is not very good here. However one can score a great package if they develop skills in the field of chemical engineering.
