Remarks

There is discipline which screw up students college life. You have to be at iem gate at sharp 9 am to attend your classes otherwise you will be regarded as late and you cannot attend your classes for that day. Also. You should come to college in college uniform . For all 4 years.

Entrance Preview

important aspects of eligibility are merit in entrance test or minimum 45% in class 12th physics chemistry maths. I got 63.7% and that is why I ended up taking admission here.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The theoretical subjects are taught with the help of powerpoint presentations and the questions are discussed later on in tutorial classes. The practical subjects like physics and algorithms are taught with the help of powerpoint presentations, along with traditional whiteboard teaching and videos are also shown. Mathematics is taught in the most traditional way.

Internships Opportunities

The percentage of students who got the internship is around 40 % because most of the students preferred doing the internship at their native place. The highest stipend offered was Rs 8000 per month and the lowest was nil.

Placement Experience

3

Placements are decent, fairly good. Won't say they are too good or too bad. More than 75% students get placed every year, on the basis of past few years knowledge. It is not that the other entire 25 % do not get placed, but among then, some pursue higher education or business. Highest pay package: INR 12 LPA, one student. Average pay package: INR 3.5 LPA Minimum pay package: INR 2.5 LPA The significant recruiters are Infosys (mass recruiter), JP Morgan (10-15 students)

College Events

3.5

the college arranges extra-curricular activities for students and students participate in them to enjoy and to get exposure on stage. Sports functions are also held for the students to take part in and compete with other college students. The overall environment of the college is very educative and a bus is provided if night functions are held in the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Per year you have to shed INR 77,761 as part of the fees fo rthe course which is exclusive of the registration you paid initially and the security deposit etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

They offer scholarships but the criteria is so hogh. I mean why would anyone take admission here if they scored 94% in 12th?

Campus Life

3

Football turf, ring football, 3*basket ball, 2*volley ball, lawn tennis, numerous table tennis tables, badminton court, cricket ground, carrom boards, jogging track, etc are all there. Classrooms and labs are well maintained, obviously, considering the high yearly fees, they should be. The canteen serves only veg and non-vegetarian is prohibited in the canteen. Food quality is good, and variety is beyond praise.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

hostel rooms are good, ACs are available on a 2/3 sharing basis. It is expensive, though, around 2 lakhs for a year with mess charges. Never have I faced any issue related to the infrastructure in the college.

Alumni/Alumna

I have one of my friends who has been an alumni of Amity and she is the reason I took admission here as she bragged so much about this college.

Exam Structure

Course curriculum is very useful for semester exams. But if you have not attended the classes you may suffer at the time of exams because there are certain things which are not in the curriculum but they tell you in class and they are there in the exams.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty of the college has changed in recent years. However, the new faculty members are knowledgeable and qualified. The faculty doesn't help you a lot and wants to sail and find the way independently. Different faculty members have different teaching methods and it also depends on the subject.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

Completely relevant. As the college is autonomous it has its own syllabus. Which matches with the net gate jam exam syllabus. When someone came our college for seminar they strange that we know this much. Exam are quite difficult in 2 months interval.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Placement Experience:

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Sc Computer Science Faculty: Student ratio is = 4:23 may vary a bit Faculty are well Qualified & Teaching method is okay good, but not to the mark like very good or excellent. The exam term was timely (sometimes it gets a bit late due to some natural disaster like cyclone, heavy rainfall, etc or any govt. & university delays), and the exam level is nearly too difficult, something like in between moderate to difficult.
