Remarks
The admission process of KIET happens every year in the months of July and August but due to pandemics, this time session started quite late. Admission is based on the ranking achieved in Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam (UPSEE). Reservations are given to students who only belong to Uttar Pradesh.
Course Curriculum Overview
Well, I choose the computer science course because I have an interest in coding and making some real-world projects. The faculty of KIET is experienced and consists of 380+ well-qualified members. The faculty here is helpful and very sincere towards their work. Most of the faculties are PhD holders.
Internships Opportunities
Students can go for internships whenever they feel they are ready. Companies like- TCS, IBM, Infosys, and Amazon come for internships in the 5th semester or you can yourself apply for the off-campus. Service-based companies provide a stipend of around 15-20k while product-based companies provide a stipend of around 60-75k per month for training.
Placement Experience
From the 6th-semester end companies starts to come to hire students. Both service-based and product-based companies visit our campus while the rest is in students' hands whether they are able to grab the offer or not. The placement percentage for this year is 80-85%. The highest package offered this year is around 44lpa while the average is around 5lpa.
Fees and Financial Aid
In my department, annual fees are around 119499 along with 90000 for hostlers. There are many private and government scholarships for boys as well as girls. Also whenever in need, the college administration is ready to help. The students who score above 85% in their exams receive a reward/cash- prize of around 1k-2k.
Campus Life
The college's tech fest is called "INNOTECH" which is mostly conducted in November and December. Also, the college's cultural fest 'EPOQUE' AND 'PRASTUTI' are conducted in may month. The college supports many sports like- cricket, volleyball, basketball, etc. I have won many prizes in such competitions as well.
Hostel Facilities
We got the hostel build by KIET itself. We provide all the basics amenties like- mirrors, Almira, dustbin and room are spacious enough to accommodate around 3- 4 person. Hostel's Mess good is quite decent while on some days we prefer eating outside. The hostel registration was done in online mode and the hostel was allotted on the basis of how far a student lives from the college property.
Interview Experience
I didn't face any GD or interviews cause I got the college through UPSEE marks while the ones who got direct admission to this college have to go through some process that includes Interviews, GD and Written tests. I prepare for this exam during JEE Mains preparation in my school time.
