Remarks
I have taken admission to the KIET group of institutions through JEE. I chose this college because it is emerging day by day and it focuses not only on the curriculum but the overall development of the student and make him industry-ready. The admission criteria are that you have a minimum of 75% marks in class 12th and the seats are given according to your JEE Rank.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen the computer science branch as my vision is very clear about that and I have a keen interest in this subject. The faculty is highly qualified and knowledgeable and always ready to help if there is some problem that exists. The faculty: student ratio is approx. 1:40 in my department which I think is very good. All the faculty members are highly qualified and most of them are PhD while some are pursuing PhD. The teaching method is above average I would say. they are using smart classes to understand the concept easily. There are 3 internal exams and 1 external exam every semester as per AKTU criteria. It was easy to pass if you are regular in class and take it attentively.
Placement Experience
Placements are very good in our college. from 6 semesters onwards placements are started. Many renowned companies like Amazon, Cognizant, TCS, Infosys, Accenture Capgemini etc are visited every year and around 1600+ job offers are made every year. The highest package is 44 lakhs by amazon and the average package is 5 lakhs. Around 90 per cent of a student of our college gets placed some opt for higher studies as well. My plan is to work in a reputed company as a software engineer after getting the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for the B.tech course in our college is 136499/- per annum and during these times college did not hike the fee this year. now coming to scholarships, college is providing scholarships to meritorious students. and state government is also providing scholarships if your financial status is not good.
Campus Life
The annual fest in our college is prastuti and it was conducted in April-may and the tech fest i.e. Innotech is conducted in the month of November. Books & journals are always available in the library. More than 1 lakh books are available for students as well as faculties and are easily issued from time to time. Classrooms are well spacious and fully airconditioned. A smart class facility is also provided in each class. There is a football ground basketball, and cricket ground on the campus and indoor games such as table tennis, and chess billiards are also available. A social group such as Uddeshya and a Technical club such as Innogeeks are run by students.
