Entrance Preview

I got into this college based on AIEEE. I had got a state rank around 1400. Initially I got a seat in IT branch and later changed to Computer science after one year.

Course Curriculum Overview

As this college was under Biju Pattanaik University of technology the course was as prescribed by the university. Faculty were very good. Always course was finished on time and we were getting much time to study before exams.

Internships Opportunities

In our college no internship was there. In my course there was no stipend and so I do not have any idea about it.

Placement Experience

Placement is very good in this college. In our batch 2011 more than 80% got placed. Major companies participated in this drive were Infosys,wipro,Mindfire,zensar etc.

College Events

Tech fest once a year. It was a two days events,competition and at the end of the last day there was cultural program and award distribution. Two days of annual day fully loaded with cultural events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As it is a private college fee structure was little high. But it was feasible for most of the students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan facility was available. No scholarship in our time. It might be available now I do not have idea about it.

Campus Life

Campus life was good. Though the college has very less area,space but managed very nicely. Football,basket ball,volley ball,cricket etc. All kind of fields were there. Apart from that gym was also there.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility was very good. Separate boys and girls hostel present inside the campus. Amenities were very good. Mess food was also very good and much better than other colleges where my friends were studying.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Most of the College seniors are now in a very good position. There is a facebook page where everyone shares their experience about something any information etc.

Exam Structure

Exams were based on the BPUT university guidelines. Per semester,3 internal and on main exam. Internals were 10 marks each so total of 30 marks and the main exam was of 70 marks.

Likes

The environment of KIIT is best for student as their are students from all over India you learn many things other than just your course.
The college life for the students at KIIT is awesome as the architecture of the university is designed for students to explore every possible thing required by any student.
The fest of KIIT is just best the students enjoy those days the most.

Dislikes

As for me their are no flaws that I can say I dislike in KIIT.

Placement Experience:

The placement was quite good. The one who is disciplined and willing to get placed and surely get placed and the total average was around six LPA and the highest package was 53 LPA, which was offered by the atlassian

Likes

Beautiful campus with lot's of space and with good computer labs
They conduct exam in very smoothly manner

Dislikes

Need to improve administrative building while submitting fees many students face problem
Lab session of some subjects are too long which is around 3 hrs which need to reduce for atleast 2 hrs

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The college has an active placement celll that supports students by Organizing training sessions, resume building and also mock interviews.

Have collabs with IBM, Samsung, Capgemini for RnD and NUS singapore , University of North Texas
Our college has hosted International Conferences like IEEE InGAARS 2025and Indocrypt 2025, where scientists had came from NASA, ISRO, all IITs, Foreign Universities, etc
Exposure is Good. The teachers here put efforts to teach and research. Unlike other colleges where teachers comes and roll out PPTs, here every teacher teaches on Board explaining everything properly

Dislikes

Few teachers speak in Odia accent, so it takes couple weeks to adjust
Campus is kind of small (36acres), but its good area for a IIIT, considering IIIT delhi is just 25 acres
3 occupancy hostels for 1st years (same goes for any other NIT/IIIT), but they have a option of single rooms from 2nd year

Placement Experience:

from 6th sem, students are eligible almost 100 companies visited including IBM, VISA, Infosys, DE Shaw etc. Highest is 63 LPA and avg is 12-13LPA 90% placements I may consider doing MBA if I dont get very big package

Likes

Teaching style of faculty is excellent and related to practical based
Infrastructure of collage is just excellent and view is stunning
The playground facility is excellent and love to play different games

Lab facilities of this university is not good and ordered
Placement scenario is not fair and political affair is including
Must of faculty members are belongs to home state

Placement Experience:

From 6th sem of completion eligible to sit in placement called by campus placement in university. Companies like accenture, techmahindra,tech bee,and wipro comes for hiring. Highest package till now is 29 lpa and lowest is 1.5 lpa. Average package is 5lpa. Mostly 80 percentage of students getting placement from campus drive. My plan after getting degree is getting job from campus drive.

Likes

The professor who taught in our class they are taught is best In teaching.
They provide you many opportunities to work upon on you.
The infrastructure of college is good and huge.

Dislikes

The campus is very vast, and you have to walk for every minute of work.
The are very serious about your study and what you are doing
The gate get closed if you get came late even it's 5-10 minute late.

Placement Experience:

It's good as many company come but the placement directly depend on your study and hard work of your 4 year and a pre placement also conduct in 3rd year where you can also get placed. For placement the student should secure 8-10 cgpa for sit in interview exam.

I choose this college as its academic studies is really good. Rules and curriculum are really strict here, There are strict rules against raging,No one dares to do so,And unlike other near by colleges like KIIT or ITER the placement is not that good but the quality of knowledge is great. Here u ll have to struggle to secure marks not just u get the questions. Here the fees are also less as compared to other big universities but yes the infrastructure is not that high-tech. We had 4 branches till 2019 and in the upcoming years we r going to have 7 of them all are IT and electrical related branches. Comming to the demerits there is very less but one of the major is that any issues or incontinence if caused (like money mater,results, rechecking of answersheet) are not solved properly its like the authority simply ignores it. And some rules and regulations are made up like that that the student will not get benefited. They will keep u busy with their assignment,test,projects 24*7 which is in my behalf not right atleast there must be some relaxation....Read More
