Remarks

Overall it is good experience with some price and cons , more openess required. Library needs to be extended not sure if it is already extended.

Entrance Preview

We have exam common entrance test CET. Overall rank came out near by 9000. This college has good placement history so my parents wished that I should choose this college for my study.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is good in gne and teachers are very well educated mostly are m tech and phd holders. There are many research labs where student gets best practical knowledge along with theoretical study. Course is decided in to semesters and each semester is of 6 months duration.

Internships Opportunities

No this college does not provide any intership and there is no stipend. Students had to spend one entire semester in some industry / company to get the intership , not sure if any company pays stipend to students.

Placement Experience

Gne college is very reputed college as it has great placement history. Many companies such as wipro, General Electric, barcos, infosys, tech m , Vodafone , Airtel and many more comes there. The starting package depends upon the company ranging from3 lacs to 5 lacs per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

Sorry I am not aware of much about scholarship as it is mostly offered to the person student who topped in the classes and I was not the one. Well, There were some schlorship being provided to needy students that was. Being decided by the teachers and head of department to whom they give . As every stream as its own .

Campus Life

The college was quite strict about dress code . Girl studentswere not much allowed to wear western clothes . The girls and boy ratio is somewhat around 60:40 except mechinal stream as they have mostly boys in mechical stream. There are great labs for research which opens for quite long time good grounds to play and good cultural activity hub.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is just amazing the warden was great at our time . Very good in nature and very desclipned . The food was good as there were different menu every day . This remember me the kafi chawal prepared in mess and Friday night desert pastry. Overall good hostel with good facility .

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

Mostly the alumni of the college are very well settled in different different organizations. We are still in touch with our seniors through social media and phone calls etc .

Exam Structure

As I already said entire course is divided in to 8 semesters and every semester duration is 6 months. Each semester has exams , lab tests and viva. Yes theoretical study along with lab work makes the hectic day for us but we enjoyed along with friends as chilling only happens at5 at tuck shop.

Admission

Based on the rank you are in the queue for counseling. There were some seat left in this college on my counsellingvday but not in information technology. I have had other option also but as this college was having good placement history i opted electronics

All the facility members our teachers are very well educated mostly they are m tech and phd holders from reputed colleges. The way of teaching is really great , they taught us more practical work which is helping us in industry life. During exams , extra time is being devoted for students to clear the doubts.

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

An honest look at campus

Likes

The university boasts an excellent, massive campus infrastructure with great amenities and highly diverse student crowd provides great cultural exposure
While the engineering batches naturally leans towards more boys (around 1:3 girl to boy ratio)
Availability off dedicated campus mentorship programming and technical club provided a great platform.

Dislikes

The campus administration enforced incredibly strict security and daily restrictions which feel a little overwhelmed
The total no of students in a course like cse is massive. So the competition for the high tier placement is very intense.
If we need any information or some help from the administration they will make it lag and go to that window this window and we will not get the information ww required

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro,cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed.The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

LPU's REVIEW WITH HONESTY AND CREDIBILITY

Likes

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts
Skilled professional educators and tutors

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

Dislikes

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum

For taking admission in this college you can take admission on the basis of your board exam marks. You can get admission if you have minimum 40% marks in your board exam as well. For taking admission in CSE or IT branch you should have atleast 85% or more marks scored in your board exam. If you are from home state you might get reservation benefit. In this college 85% seats are reserved for home state students and rest 15% for other students as well as for home state.
