PDEU, B.Tech, Mechanical Engineering

Reviewed on Jul 24, 2022(Enrolled 2019)

Remarks

For admission, you have to give either Gujcet or Jee. 50% of seats are reserved for students who have opted for Gujcet and the rest 50% for Jee. The cut-off rank for Gujcet was around 6000 for Mechanical engineering. However, I got admission in 3rd round of the Admission process. For Admission, you have to follow the process of ACPC and all the dates are available on their website.

Course Curriculum Overview

I was always interested in Mechanical engineering. Few of the Faculties were not so great in 1st year when the subjects are common, but the majority of the Faculties were very nice. And after 1st year all the Faculties are excellent. The department is also great and hosts many skill development programs for students.

Class Size: 140Course Fees: INR 240000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The university really helps students to get placed in Internships. In first year you do social Internships and in 2nd year you go for industrial visit and in 3rd year there's an internship of 1.5 months and in last sem that is 8th sem you can either select a project in house or you can undertake a cp project in industry.

Placement Experience

The placements are really good. Companies like MG ISRO TCS Infosys etc come to campus for hiring and in Mechanical engineering, the average package is 6 to 7 LPA. And the highest is 16 to 18 LPA And almost everyone is placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are on the higher side. It is the most expensive engineering college in Gujarat. Also, it is the best college in Gujarat. All the scholarships by the government are applicable like MYSY Etc, Also you can opt for an Education loan.

Campus Life

Here comes the best part. Flare, Tesseract and Petrocup are the flagship events of the college. There are 3 main committees Social and Cultural Committee, It organizes all the Cultural events like navratri,Utrayan etc. It has 17 clubs under it including food club(Zaayka), Dance club (Malang), Music club(Offbeat), etc. Science and Technical Committee It organizes events like drone competition etc. It also has more than 15 clubs under it Sports Committee, It also has 5to 7 clubs which organizes events related to sports and fitness.

The parul university review

Likes

The campus view is awesome we all will see new things everytime and it feels fresh at the morning.
The personal development of particular students have been in focus of every faculty which is awesome.
The behaviour towards students of every professor is the best all are understanding and calm towards students.

Dislikes

There is a system of gate pass means whenever u need to go out of main gate with the permission we are not allowed to go.
In hostel the washrooms are not so clean for the students with common washroom hostel
The mess food are boring sometimes and the food of the food seems to be same everytime

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I have a great interest in coding and this field is based on coding so i choosed the computer field. -The curriculum of the college are based on the things which will help us in future for real world application. -The way they i based on pdf means they make a full note of a subject in pdf and explain that and which makes clear to us so I don't think they should change. -There is a enough time to study for exams it depends on us how me manage it and the difficulty level is medium it is based on what we have understood till now in studies we have studied.

Campus life is really good, there are food courts, playground, libraries avaliable.
The whole campus has wifi avaliable, they've got atm too.

Dislikes

there are quite a few restrictions like no roaming allowed after 9:30pm.
mess food is not so good, its managable but sometimes it feels miserable
for every small thing to be done, lots of paperwork is required whether you need to go outside the campus or needs a NOC

Placement Experience:

in my unversity, proper placements usually start from 7th sem, however after 4th sem, the collage provides the opputunity to go for impact traning if youve got more than 60% in your 10th, 12th and throughtout the semesters from that traning top permorning student get a chance to sit for product-based companies. as of now (jan 2026), the highest placement recorded is 60lpa at microsoft, the average is aroudn 3.5 lps to 6 lpa, most of the recruiting companies are service based such as capgemini, infosys, tcs etc. around 200-250 students gets palce after heavy filtering, i plan to go for higher studies,

PDEU , a Sweet n' Sour experience

The other college that I planned on getting into was Nirma University but I couldn't meet the cutoff and hence I had to make do with PDEU. So this was actually my second option. The admission process of the university is JEE and GUJCET. So you can give either of these exams and then the counselling process is done through ACPC. Generally THE GUJCET cutoff is easier to meet. The overall admission process is pretty smooth and hassle free as you would expect from a university which charges you 2 and a half lakhs per annum...Read More

LIfe and Learning at PDEU

I was from a normal background and wanted to build my carrer in a high-fly way which can help me to explore and learn more new things and can relate to the ongoing industry leve so i chose PDEU because it offers a large campus, good placements and modern labs and faculty in learning. i faced many rejection from different colleges may be by some ranking issues or some percentage or JEE exam score. It was just competition and limited seats. Eligiblity at PDEU requires 10+2 PCM subjects and admission are based on JEE score, Gujcet score or may be on the cuttoffs that rarely vary. Admission process at our college is very simple just byb filling the form at the website/portal and pay the fee and then the process helds offline and provide you the offer letter....Read More
