Remarks
The students who passed 12 with maths and have given jee mains are eligible for admission, there is also a direct method for the admission. On UPSEE Website you can find an application and registration forms for counselling and for direct admission visit the KIET college website. There is a reservation for Obc, sc/st and economically weaker sections. The counselling process is not good it should be improved.
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculties are qualified as the college is private so they give more insight into students. The teaching quality is average but teachers try their best. The curriculum is according to AKTU and AKTU curriculum is not good. The semester exam is conducted by AKTU which tries to make paper difficult and copy checking is done in a random manner you may get failed even if you attempted and wrote all answers. There is healthy competition between us which is good as it helps us after all. I chose this course because I wanted a CSE course and as per my jee main percentile this college was the best. Other things in our course are good.
Placement Experience
The college placements are good as compared to other UPTU Colleges. From the third year onwards students are eligible for placements. Approximately 90 per cent of students get placed somewhere in CSE courses. The highest package was 44 lakh per annum by Amazon other which is on internship, it also included the shares of the company and all facilities given by them. In-hand they get 2 lakhs monthly. The average package is 4 lakh per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is good it is about 122000 for a year till now there is no scholarship for students whose parents have government jobs and for other students there is up government scholarship of 50000. The fee hike is about 2000 per year.
Campus Life
For the last three years, there is no fest in the college and the tech fest was organised in the month of May. The truth is that the college has a very small land area about 18 acres, In this small area, they have other courses than B.Tech like Pharmacy, MBA, and MCA which lowers the standard of infrastructure as the college is trying to fit all the courses in a small area. Other than that classrooms are fully air-conditioned in some areas you don't get wifi and there is a limit of 100 GB per month on wifi. The library is good with an ample amount of books. As the campus is very small there is a very small area for sports. The famous clubs in our college are geeks, e cell, sae kiet, Vani and many more.
Hostel Facilities
The first year hostel is very good but for 2, 3, 4 year hostel rooms are very congested. The other drawback is that hostels are separated that means you don't get interaction with seniors. The mess food is average.
