Remarks

The admission process went through based on the eamcet rank. After receiving the rank, we have been informed about the counseling dates and where to apply for the colleges. There was an application that was to be filled out online and choose colleges and dates for counseling accordingly. There were no fees charged for the application. As I was interested in Computer Science, I've chosen the colleges accordingly. The process went step by step with a detailed point of view.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Apart from Computer Science, I used to like electronics too. So I opted for this course to know more in detail about electrical and electronics. This is a complete hardware subject where the faculty of this field has a wide knowledge in every area illustrating more examples to help understand the lectures for class. They are highly qualified associate professors completing their Ph.D. in reputed institutions. The professor's student ratio was 40:120. Apart from the professors, there were lab assistants who used to guide us in practical sessions in labs. The exams were to be conducted monthly and they used to be a bit difficult in reaching the qualifying mark.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There were no internships for EEE and other courses at our college as most of them preferred doing internships outside the campus. As we were provided with a stipend of 2500 monthly which I had received in BSNL company. I have chosen the VLSI chip design methodology to learn in the practical way of experimenting with the designing of a chip and completed the internship and have implemented the same application in my final year major project and successfully run the output. The task was very difficult as the equipment that was used are very expensive.

Placement Experience

4

In the final year of the 4.1 semesters, we are allowed to attend the campus drives conducted by our college. Based on their academic performance and backlogs, the students are given the eligibility to attend the drives. The companies that visit our campus are Amazon, Wipro, Infosys, cognizant, and TCS. I was placed in Amazon with an average salary of 350000 per annum. The highest package was 500000 in Wipro for the technical support role offered. The percentage of students that were placed was 65%. As I was placed in Amazon, I continued doing the job after my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure was 130000 every year. Since the admission process was carried out by counseling, I used to get fee reimbursement by the government up to 35000 every year. So it was easy and affordable for me to pay the rest of the amount. And this fee policy was provided according to the student's caste. In the final year, there were campus placements at the college from Amazon, Wipro, Infosys, and cognizant. I was placed in Amazon with an average salary of 350000 per annum.

Campus Life

4.5

The annual fest is conducted once in a year in February and the technical fests happen around every 2-3 months. The biggest tech fest was conducted in the final year named IGNITE 2019 which was conducted at the national level. There were all types of book materials supplied at the library which we used to borrow for our semester exams. Sports and extracurricular activities take place very often. GNI CHAKDE -2019 was a national-level sports fest conducted that included multiple outdoor and indoor games which were organized by our college. The sports club is actively run by the senior students at our campus and the fests are conducted under the rules and procedures of the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
