Very good placements, nice infrastructure, overcrowded, amazing campus life - This is DTU

For admission, you have to first give the JEE-Mains exam. The eligibility for filling the JEE-Mains application form is that the student should have passed the 12th class examination or is going to appear in the 12th class examination. The conducting body of the JEE-Mains exam is the National Testing Agency (NTA). You can find the application form for JEE-Mains on the NTA website. The application fees are 650 INR for male candidates and 325 for female candidates. The application dates vary annually and can be found on the NTA website. If you clear the JEE-Mains rank with a decent rank, then you can take part in the JAC-Delhi counselling, for taking admission to the universities of Delhi. The counselling process takes about 1-2 months and can be viewed on the JAC-Delhi website.

The teachers in DTU are well qualified and are very knowledgeable in their field. They helped in each and every aspect of the subject and cleared most of our doubts. The teaching quality is good. Due to the covid phase, the curriculum was taught very fast and was online in the starting, but then it became offline and came on track. The professors are professional and industry experts. This played a major role in the placement season. The course curriculum is rigorous and made by keeping in mind the industry's needs. The difficulty level of the semester is moderate, due to announcements made by the government for making good quality questions. There is 1 mid-semester examination and 1 end-semester examination of all the subjects in the syllabus. Out of 100 marks, the weightage of mid-sem is 25 marks and the weightage of end-sem is 50 marks. The rest 25 marks include practicals, attendance, class participation, etc. The pass percentage is around 80-90%.

The internship season was amazing. The highest stipend offered was 2 Lakh per month by Sprinklr. The top roles offered by companies were Software Development Engineer (SDE), Software Developer, Product Manager, etc.

DTU is a very prestigious university and is certainly in the league of top IITs and NITs in terms of placement. For the year 2021-2022, the placement percentage was very high around 97%. The highest international offer was a whooping 1.84 Crore per annum by Palantir (London). The highest domestic offer was 64 LPA by Apple (India). The average package was 15.3 LPA. The top recruiters include Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Uber, TCS, Apple, Flipkart, Deloitte, and Adobe.

The fee structure of DTU is well structured. The fee structure is provided in the brochure at the time of JAC-Delhi counselling. The fee increases every year by about 15000-20000 INR. The fees increase every year with new admissions. After approximating and rounding off the fees for 4 year BTech course comes out to be 10 Lakh INR. There are scholarship programs and financial assistance after taking admission to DTU, for meritorious and bright students.

The course I have chosen at DTU is one of the best in India for the engineering field. The best thing about it is the technical knowledge gained for the IT industry and the placements. The events here are mind-blowing. The Engifest which is the major fest of DTU is the largest fest in India. DTU also focuses on the various hackathons which take place here. There are many societies and clubs that the students can join for extra-curricular activities. The DTU library is one of the finest libraries with over 2.5 Lakh printed books, 3 Lakh of e-books and around 178 million scientific articles. The DTU sports complex is very big and has almost all the sports and games including cricket, football, badminton, etc. There is a large cricket ground, a football ground, an outdoor badminton court, lawn tennis court. There are also facilities for indoor badminton court and table tennis. The overall experience and campus life here are fantastic.
