Remarks

They took an entrance examination called KIITEE which is KIIT Entrance Examination. All the details about the procedure are available on the website: www.kiit.ac.in. The hardness of the entrance level is moderate. But after this process, they charged a high amount for the registration process.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I want to study electronics engineering. There were sufficient amount of faculties for the students. Teaching methods were good for some of the faculties but few faculties were not knowledgeable and helpful too. There were two terms of exams that is mid term & end term. Exams were difficult to pass.

Internships Opportunities

There were internship opportunities from some of the companies. But only Computer Science engineering and IT were given more importance than electronics engg. Few of the companies offered internships.

Placement Experience

From the end of 3rd year, the students become eligible for campus placements. Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, TCS, Delloite, etc offered placement to multiple students. But most of the companies were below average.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees per semester are really high and it is increasing rapidly year by year. Those students whose families have enough amount of money, only those students can afford this university. The semester fees were about 110000 (without hostel fees). But I got a job on Justdial with just a 3lacs/annum package.

Campus Life

The annual fest of kiit was scheduled generally around February- march. All the students can participate the fest but again chargee were there to participate. So many students won't go to the fest. But there were lots of gyms, swimming pool, playground, table tennis, basketball etc activities were there. There was an organisation named KSAC (Kalinga Students Activity Centre).

Decent faculty and top tier placements, just follow the rules

Likes

I like the vibe of the canteen and greenery around my college

Dislikes

I don't like 75% attendance and the strictness of the faculty members

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

Likes

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

The college campus greenery and campus cleaning management are doing really very well that is the only good part but that doesn't matter much for your career.
⭐⭐There is nothing good to mention about this college after going through all the procedures from taking admission to degree,I regret and many of my friends also regretting taking admission into this college.⭐⭐

Dislikes

They have a good well maintained cricket ground but students are never allowed there only for commercial purposes and to attract new joinee.
Staff and management are very helpful and polite only till admission done.🥲.
Hostel food quality is extremely unhigenic, no one takes responsibility after many complaints also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

Likes

Beautiful campus with lot's of space and with good computer labs
They conduct exam in very smoothly manner

Dislikes

Need to improve administrative building while submitting fees many students face problem
Lab session of some subjects are too long which is around 3 hrs which need to reduce for atleast 2 hrs

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The college has an active placement celll that supports students by Organizing training sessions, resume building and also mock interviews.

Likes

Have collabs with IBM, Samsung, Capgemini for RnD and NUS singapore , University of North Texas
Our college has hosted International Conferences like IEEE InGAARS 2025and Indocrypt 2025, where scientists had came from NASA, ISRO, all IITs, Foreign Universities, etc
Exposure is Good. The teachers here put efforts to teach and research. Unlike other colleges where teachers comes and roll out PPTs, here every teacher teaches on Board explaining everything properly

Dislikes

Few teachers speak in Odia accent, so it takes couple weeks to adjust
Campus is kind of small (36acres), but its good area for a IIIT, considering IIIT delhi is just 25 acres
3 occupancy hostels for 1st years (same goes for any other NIT/IIIT), but they have a option of single rooms from 2nd year

Placement Experience:

from 6th sem, students are eligible almost 100 companies visited including IBM, VISA, Infosys, DE Shaw etc. Highest is 63 LPA and avg is 12-13LPA 90% placements I may consider doing MBA if I dont get very big package

From sixth semester you are eligible for campus placement. Companies visited are Tata power, Adani, OPTCL and others.The highest package for electrical engineering is 10 lacs. 60percent marks is required for getting placement.

Likes

The professor who taught in our class they are taught is best In teaching.
They provide you many opportunities to work upon on you.
The infrastructure of college is good and huge.

Dislikes

The campus is very vast, and you have to walk for every minute of work.
The are very serious about your study and what you are doing
The gate get closed if you get came late even it's 5-10 minute late.

Placement Experience:

It's good as many company come but the placement directly depend on your study and hard work of your 4 year and a pre placement also conduct in 3rd year where you can also get placed. For placement the student should secure 8-10 cgpa for sit in interview exam.

A glance at Kiit l.

The admission process requires KIITEEE examination that is conducted by kiit University which is free of cost. The eligibility criteria for entrance exam is 12th passing certificate. All information regarding application form, fees and dates are available on the kiit official website. I didn't avail reservation so I have no idea about this regard. You have to clear the entrance exam KIITEE. You can also enter with jee main examination. You have to find every details in the official website of kiit. Not too good but too bad too

I want to do BTech so for that course criteria is 12th pass with pcm and you can find application forms online and it's free for KIIT University. I didn't see any reservation benefits but it must be there and I just want that one improvement they should explain everything briefly because if it is new to me then I'm not able to understand it in a few words....Read More
