Remarks

To get admission to NIT Srinagar, I gave an entrance Exam JEE Mains. Any 12th-pass Students with a science background are eligible for admission to this college. To get a seat in NIT Srinagar first you have to give JEE Mains entrance exam and you have to secure a good percentile depending on the category for the general category at least you can get the Mettulargy branch in the 90 percentile. There is a fee reservation in tuition fee, 100% tuition fee is wavier for students having parents with annual income less than 1 lakhs and students having parents with an income between 1 lakh to 5 lakh have to pay 20833 per semester or 41666 per year and students having income above 5 lakhs have to pay a full tuition fee that is 62500 per semester or 125000 per year.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Mechanical is the royal branch of NIT Srinagar, the faculty members in mechanical are very good, 50% of seats are reserved for home state students and 50 % are from other states, and most of the teachers are phd scholars, teaching methods are really good they always try to teach students in a new way. Exams are conducted timely mid-term duration is 90 minutes, and the end-term duration is 180 minutes, exams are easy if all questions are asked from class notes and class concepts, and assignments so if you attend classes and solved assignments then you will score maximum marks.

Placement Experience

4

End of the 6th semester or starting of the 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Lots of companies visit here every year some popular companies are Amazon, Samsung, and Microsoft, and also some PSU are GAIL, BHEL, OIL, etc HCL, Sigmoid, HDFC, Byjus, Tech Mahindra, Tata Motors, and much more. The highest package till now is 72 LPA and the average Package is 13 LPA. Almost all students from each branch get placed and some students opt for higher studies like Mtech. My plan after getting the degree is to do a job for a few years to understand the work and techniques and to make my base strong and then start my own startup.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes you can apply for scholarships, NSP scholarships or state government scholarships, apart from that there is a tution fee relaxation according to their parent's annual income income less than 1 lakh - No tuition fees income between 1 lakh to 5 lakh - 41666 per year(Tution fee) income above 5 lakh - 125000 per year (Tuition fee) About jobs, companies start thier recruiting process at end of the 6th semester or starting of the 7th semester for internships and full-time offers.

Campus Life

4

There are many fests which we celebrate in NIT Srinagar, and there are also lots of clubs Semicolon is a coding club and I am a member of this club it organises 2-3 events every month, in the same way, and there are also more clubs which also organise different events. In the Library, there are academic books as well as different types of newspapers and lots of books apart from academics. For sports there is a cricket ground, football ground, athlete ground, badminton courts, tennis court, basketball courts, and also indoor games are available, and a separate gym facility for boys and girls. semicolon - coding club, Hindi cell club, SAE India, and lots of clubs are run by students.

Hostel Facilities

4

In the hostel, each room has an internet facility LAN connection and wifi facility and separate single bed, study tables along with separate lamp light for study on each table. Mess food quality is not that, okay but it is good, some days it is good and some days it is not good depending on the mass menu. During the admission process, they will ask to choose to be a hosteller or day scholar if you are a hosteller then you have to register for mess and hostel. I didn't rent any room as I am a hosteller but you can easily find PG if you want near the college out of the campus but it may cost.

The placement of our college is Average and the students are eligible in 7 semester for placement. If the student has any backlog in any of the semester they can't sit in the college placement and also it has minimum criteria of 6.5 cgpa. The positive of this college is that the environment is academic friendly and there is a level of strictness maintained by the college authorities. Lack of modern infrastructure and absence of various general and academic facilities hampers the ideal college life of balancing the knowledge and enjoying the college time.
